Backpackers In Paradise

This place is so close to Surfers Paradise and the beach, it's ridiculous! Leave your valuable stuff in your room, and walk to the beach! It's so easy! Great location for the beach and everything. The pool was good. The air conditioned pool room/cinema room was nice and cool. Good for the really hot days on the Gold Coast. The pool was very refreshing, not too hot or cold. Also has a spa bath, but not hot - which was nice because it was hot enough already. Very good after a big day. Mattress on bed was comfortable. Clean sheets were good too. Hammocks and comfy chairs around the central courtyard were good. Plenty of shade to stay out of the heat helpful too. Bikes and surfboard hire available too.

It was too hot. More fans in the rooms. The bunk beds squeak a lot when getting in and out. Prices at the bar were expensive. The kitchen is ridiculously small. You couldn't have too many people trying to cook at the same time. Wood in bathroom rotten in parts, saw a cockroach.

Pretty valid hostel for the price. They have a bar, pool, hammocks downstairs and it’s right next to the center of Surfers Paradise. Staff are friendly and always down to help. Overall has bunch of great things and services to provide.

The beds are a little hard and overall the rooms and facilities are not that clean. Cockroaches were spotted every day in the rooms and the AC didn’t work propely. The bar is blasting music until midnight and it can be easily heard in the rooms. Obiviously having a pair of earplugs fix this problem.

It's a chilled and relaxed hostel for young backpackers. The kitchen is quite useful to do cooking for your own. There is lots of different languages spoken in this hostel so there is always a person to talk to. I've been in a 4 bed mixed dorm (just boys as usual) and there was enough space for everyone to store luggage in the room. The dorm also has a cupboard to put your personal stuff in and lock it.

I was really comfortable this time for my stay @ the Backpackers in Paradise. The staff are always kind and happy to help and the atmosphere is fun and exciting. There are lots of travellers sharing their expeirence and travells with each other so its a positive place to be while travelling Australia.

Some of the Dorm room doors slam, so with quite a few to each room, In and Out at all hours, this can be a bit disturbing. But i think it would be easy fixed with attched Gas release door jam & bracket.

I loved the layout of the hostel, having the rooms all surround the green grassy courtyard was so nice. Made it super easy to be able to interact with other travellers! There was also such a fun and chilled out vibe from everyone there, for my first hostel experience it was so great!

The kitchen was pretty small and narrow for a hostel of that size but it did the job! The bathrooms were also a little dated and would’ve been nice if there was an aircon but overall it was still a lovely experience!

In summery we had a great time at Backpackers in Paradise. The room was clean. The beach was a 5-10 min walk away, which was very nice. The kitchen was a little too small, but it is okay if you‘re not planning to cook for hours.

Some stuff members of the hostel were kind of rude.

Very good location, close to the beach, public transport and main surfers paradise precinct. There's a kitchen, laundry facilities and very pleasant outdoor area for socialising

Bathrooms were dirty and a lot of items/rubbish left by previous occupiers on the floor of the rooms. Also, there's is a bar on site playing very loud music which is as noisy in the bedrooms until late at night. Bring ear plugs if you fancy an early sleep

Very friendly and hospitable place. Great opportunity to meet new people as it’s very sociable and plenty to do whilst there. Very convenient location close to everything you need and want to be near.

Not that it was a problem for us, but can be louder in evenings as there is lots going on in the courtyard and people enjoying themselves

The location of the hostel was excellent being only a stone throw away from restaurants, shops, the beach and also the bus station. The staff were great and there was always someone around if you had any queries. The hostel has a good atmosphere and a common area outside which was a lovely place to hang out. We stayed in a four bed female dorm which was basic but comfortable. It has real potential to be a great place with a few tweakes.

It's a bit dated and could do with a good clean.

Really good location for the beach or any public bus stations for getting around, our room was really nice and big but that is because we was in a private room with private bathroom!

Kitchen was quite dirty and everyone left their dishes everywhere but other than that the stay was lovely.
