Marriott Vacation Club at Surfers Paradise

Everything. An exceptional resort with very pleasant and helpful staff. I loved the “little caring touches” for example when you queue for breakfast there are complementary orange juices and mini-pastries while you wait.

Although the Vacation Club rooms cost less then the Marriott Resort rooms they have not been refurbished and ours was outdated. For example, the carpet design, sofa and colours of the wardrobe doors were outdated. I was also surprised to find on arrival, for the first time, that guests are charged $100 a night as a security deposit. The trainee reception person did not explain to me that you can use this as “credit” when you ask for restaurant bills etc to be put on to your room account. I did not find this out until a more experienced reception team member told me at check out.

I just love this hotel. I used to live at the Gold Coast not long after the hotel opened & I became a foundation member of the gym when it opened and the general public could have memberships. I used to hang out regularly at the pool after a workout, have drinks & food at the hotel, use the day spa…it was so awesome! I have always wanted to bring my kids to this hotel now that I am a parent. It is often out of our price range but I decided to ‘lash out’ for a one night stay when we had to come to the coast for an event for my child because I wanted my kids to experience the hotel & the pool area. We all loved it! We loved our suite, the breakfast, the pool & waterslide, the welcome drinks, the big bath & big luxury bathroom, robes, absolutely fantastic service from every staff member we met, our comfy bed and the beautiful view. It’s my favourite hotel!

We were thrilled to get a suite with 2 rooms & 2 bathrooms - so nice! The only thing that my kids didn’t love was the sofa bed. They would have loved a comfy luxurious bed like we had.

Buffet breaky was great. fresh and variety. Pool was fantastic - appeared to be highlight of nearly every kid there. Close to trams to be able to get in and out of Surfers paradise. Close to main beach for better restaurants. We used as base for gold coast marathon - great choice.

Pull out bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also on check-in the room wasn't fully cleaned (towels not changed) This was rectified quickly.

I like that the resort had everything you needed in the one place, and if you didn’t want to leave for the day, you could stay and entertain yourselves with an amazing pool side bar to have lunch and amazing buffet breakfast to

The pillows on the bed were horrible

The amenities at Marriot Surfers paradise are 5 star world class. .I've stayed all over the world at some amazing hotels, yet in our own back yard is our families favourite of them all. My Daughter and myself have been coming here for over 11 years amd we could not recommend a better hotel. TheStaff are wonderful , kind , courteous and helpful. 5 star. Wonderful Job JW Marriot.x

Buffet breakfast is amazing but with the changes due to covid i would have liked to see the price reduced for $48 per person to $35.

Breakfast was really good. Staff at the breakfast were very helpful. Food for the whole stay was amazing. The rooms are amazing, pillows were awful, but there were great pillows in the cupboard, so that made up for it! The bathrooms are lovely and big. The pool is lovely, best time to go to the Marriott is during the week. Not so crowded.

Staff were delightful. Welcome was lovely. Beds super comfy. Bathroom luxurious. Pool and bar area absolutely fantastic.

The air conditioning seemed to only work for the first 30 minutes of our stay and then would not turn on again. This caused us all to sleep absolutely terribly despite our otherwise lovely room, comfy bed and sofa bed. If there was a fan supplied that would have been suffice, as long as the room had air flow. As we didn’t arrive back in our apartment til quite late in the evening, we didn’t feel comfortable attempting to find an available staff member.

Staff were amazing- really helpful- the room was dirty when we arrived but they quickly moved us to another room. Pool and food is great! Cocktails are a must!!

A lot of people. A bit too busy.. the rooms was dirty when we arrived but they were able to fix that. And gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience.

EVERYONE and EVERYTHING was perfect. Welcoming, accommodating, extremely generous staff. I coulask for anything more. I could go on. Just perfect.

The beach style surroundings and tge pool bar so close by. The staff are absolutely amazing. So so kind and helpful.

WE WENT TO THE JAPANESE RESTAURANT SO/SO GOOD.. 10/10 WE BOTH SPENT A LOT OF TIME AT THE COCKTAIL BAR EXCELLENT SERVICE. THE POOL FANTASTIC.. THE ROOM WAS ONE OF THE BEST WE HAVE STAYED IN 10/10 GREAT STAFF.

JUST A LITTLE BIT OF ENTERTAINMENT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE STAY MUSIC IN THE AFTERNOON AROUND THE BAR. CHAMPAGNE IN YOUR ROOM ON A ARRIVAL AND MAYBE A CHEESE PLATTER JUST ADDED IT TO THE PRICE.
