City West Motel

Very spacious room comfortably sleeping 4. There were only 3 of us and we had restful night - one bed each. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Bathroom was clean as well be it bit dated. Good value for money. Main reason for staying here was to attend A-league match at Coopers stadium. This has proved to be a good choice as stadium was easy 25min walk away. We could leave our car at the motel and not worry about the traffic and parking. City centre was also not too far on foot. Not as close as stadium, but still nice early morning walk as it was super hot weekend (40+ degrees). There were number of eateries along the road where Motel was located, so food was not an issue. Foodworks groceries 5-10 min walk, and closest Coles supermarket (and suburban shopping centre) 15 min by car. Host was very professional and welcoming.

Parking spots are bit tight, but given location, can't really complain. It was easy enough to get in and out, but not much space to open the doors if other cars are there. Aircon was old and noisy but that didn't bother us as it worked fine in 40 degree heat.

It was the location I needed, and handy to some excellent places to eat. I had room 6, downstairs and at the back - a view of the garden, upgraded aircon and well updated inside, very clean. I had my car to get around so I can't comment on the walkability, but the Pixie and the Hawk to the west was a lovely little Cafe with beautiful food - I'm guessing it's not too far on foot. Rooms 1-5 are along the lane in , 6-8 in the back group - all these are ground floor; 9-11 are upstairs.

As per everyone's comments with a car - parking is difficult, i got more used to it bu i had a very small car. There is one larger park at the end - optimistically 4wd park but be prepared to do many pointed parking if all car parks are full. Actually think I'd feel more comfortable if the fence behind had a rubber surface and then you could bump park in and out. It's tight!

The staff are very friendly, going above and beyond for their guest. The location is great! Just outside the city centre with a bus stop within a short walking distance to the motel.

I’ve had two stays here. First time in room 4 which is closer to the reception and then room 6 which is further back. I found that while the motel wifi was good in room 4, I couldn’t connect at all in room 6. I’m sure that means the wifi motem is in the office and doesn’t reach the whole property. They definitely need a signal booster.

very easy to step out onto the Bus into town, and even close enough to walk it.

the Parking Spaces layout was very tight, meaning anyone with a larger vehicle, SUV/4WD would be well advised to detail their vehicle size when doing your Booking. The staff did well to do Space rearranging when some guests (including us) had troubles fitting their vehicles into some of the designated Lots

Great location Close to thebarton theatre so a good place to stay after a show rather than going home and then coming back to the city the next day. Close to Adelaide so able to walk into the city in 20 minutes, easy to bus and taxi from there Comfortable beds, great hot shower

Only issue was there was a 24 hour gym closeby that was running exercise classes with load music. Luckily had earplugs and had a good sleep

Really comfy bed. Very clean and good value. Great location close to airport and on the bus route into the city. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Under the flight path to the airport. It was awesome seeing the planes coming in loud and so low! There weren't any overnight so it didn't disrupt my sleep. I liked that the windows could be opened as I like fresh air at night. The staff were absolutely lovely.

No hair-dryer. Maybe I didn't search hard enough. Second hand smoke coming in my window from smokers in the outdoor area.

Location is great in terms of getting to and from the airport and the city centre. It is right on the bus route. Relatively close to a large supermarket and other shops and restaurants. Staff was helpful. Room was large and comfortable.

Rainfall shower head is a nice addition but it would be better if there was a detachable shower head too. Bathroom mirror is quite high up and shorter people have difficulty. Windows and blinds might need upgrading. Parking was ok but maybe a bit tight if hotel is full.

Loved the room, perfect size for a couple who were only planning on staying a few nights! Love the shower and how roomy and spacious it was; the shampoo and body wash smelt amazing!

Only thing bad I could say is the parking is a bit awkward, and if it was windy the smoking area smell wafts into the room.

The reception staff, the lady is very very very nice!!!! she is helpful and lovely!!!! The room is nice and clean. also close to city

The shower gel need to refill, it didn’t have much left. The parking needs to renovation. I recommend make the bay deeper, probably move away the trees so have more spaces to park deeper. when we move out, it will be easier.

They were very accommodating with my late arrival at 11 pm. The room was excellent and roomy, and I had a great nights sleep. I was able to leave early by leaving the key in the room. Secure gating at the rear of the motel was great. It was conveniently close to the airport.
