The location of this hotel was excellent! Very convenient to shops, cafes, ATM, Elizabeth Street mall, public transport, Constitution Dock, Salamanca Markets and the very important Brooke Street pier (if you’re going on day bus tours or the MONA). They have very friendly staff. I loved the nice heritage building, their food (room service and breakfast offerings). Loved the newspaper that they included in the room - to inform the guests of the history of the hotel, they also have little brochures about the hotel and the compendium was very informative. They also have a guest laundry facilities.

There’s only one lift and it can be a long wait at times. It would be good to have a microwave in the room. It would also be good to have a little business centre with a proper table to do some work.

Loved the nostalgic, olde timey feel of the hotel, the background music played in the foyer and other areas was amazing and appropriate for the era. It really gave you a feel of being taken back in time when Hotels were lavish and decadent. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.

Room was ok, bed could have been more comfortable. When ordering Room Service it would have been good to have some sort of foldaway table to eat meals off as there is no table in the room. I think some items from the MiniBar could have been included in the Room costs for better value. TV was a little small but worked fine. Might be good to have the option of Streaming Services to be available (ie: Netflix, Binge, etc.) The Parking situation is not great, it's a bit of an effort to get there and back, not very convenient.

It is such a beautiful building and the owners have embraced and preserved all its features. It seems to have retained all its charm despite renovation. I do not agree with other reviews that it needs an update. The beds were comfortable and it was extremely clean and tidy. The family room was perfect for us. I wish we had more time to explore the hotel to take the audio guide, as I was very curious about the history.

The car parking was the only downside, as it is not on site and our card didn’t work when we got there. We understand that being a heritage building, a carpark onsite is not possible though.

Loved the king size bed Mattress was soo comfortable and the pillows were very supportive Everyone were all so polite and very helpful from the Dining to the Bar staff Kellie at reception went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable 😊 The food that we ordered was delicious , a little more expensive but good size meals for your money The location of the Hotel was very central to everything ,not far to walk to the Waterfront Market or shopping Some of the tours we selected picked up from the front door of the Hotel which was great Will return!

Lighting in the room was a little dark for my liking only lamps An exhaust fan in the bathroom would help

Hadley's Orient Hotel is a slice of luxury and in keeping with the peaceful atmosphere of Hobart. I loved my stay here and one particular friendly hotel staff person was very helpful and lovely to chat to, providing guidance on popular and favourite tours and places to eat and visit. The room is a great size, with a wonderfully comfortable and warm bed, luxuriously decorated bathroom and vintage decor that I just loved. I enjoyed the evening meal, enjoyed tasty cocktails and drinks in the fancy Hadley's Orient bar, and wish I'd had time to enjoy the Afternoon Tea. The rooms are quiet and so sleep was very peaceful, which is amazing considering the central location of this luxury hotel.

If I had to be picky and say something could do with improving, I wasn't a fan of the milk used in the hotel room fridge, which made the English Breakfast tea taste strange.

An amazing stay! Rich with history, very friendly staff and comfortable beds. The hotel had character, offering an interactive walk through so you could learn the history of the building. An awesome bar and restaurant. Very clean and tidy. If you want to stay somewhere that represents Tasmanian history, centre to everything and value for money I recommend staying here! We loved it.

Keep in mind it is an old building, so there were some paint chips here and there and the floor at some parts were a little creaky. Didn’t stop it from being clean though.

Loved the unique historical nature of the hotel, the staff's local knowledge & willingness to make our stay as comfortable as possible

The off-site parking was a bit painful but at least the drop off zone in front of the hotel was available when we needed it. The main reason the off site parking was inconvenient was because during peak times it was difficult to gain the far left lane to turn into the street housing the parking facility. A few times we needed to do a wide loop around the surrounding one way streets, which was time consuming and initially confusing to one who was un familiar with the city.

Has been decorated beautifully within keeping to the era. Gorgeous antique furniture throughout, both in the rooms, foyer, dining and bar area and sitting room. It feels luxurious, spacious and welcoming. Staff are friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. The gorgeous dining room offers very affordable dinner choices which was a great surprise. The location is perfect. Walking distance to port, Salamanca markets, shopping, restaurants, museum etc. I booked 2 rooms. My room was fabulous. Spacious, spotless, thoughtfully decorated with a huge comfy bed. Room 223. Also loved the bathroom products. My parents room 202 was exceptional, grand, absolutely huge with a dining and seating area separate from the bedroom. Honestly is was spectacular! The balcony had the view of the church across the road. Beautiful! I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend if it is in your considered budget. We splurged for our anniversary and loved it.

Breakfast was delicious with great coffee, fresh fruit and toast but Eggs, omelette, bacon (hot meals) were not included in the breakfast and were an extra cost.

I liked the architecture, decor, and history of the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, and the bedding was superb. The bed was dreamily comfortable. I ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. A waitress by the name of Chelsea was stellar and super sweet. I highly recommend the First Tasmanian Ice Cream- cucumber mint!

I did not care for the view of looking out on a wall. I also did not like the heating system as it dries up the air, and it becomes stuffy. I had to lower it to feel comfortable. Bear in mind that I was there for only one night and the view was not that important. Plus, I am fussy when it comes to heating.

Great location of the hotel, a close walk to the docks and central business district. Can do staff were always available and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The bar and piano entertainment were an unexpected bonus, and a great way to wind down after dining or exploring.

Rooms are comfortable and clearly staging some bathroom upgrades in some rooms, whereas other still remain to do. Our first stay room was dark, with only a single window, but our second stay room was on the atrium and brighter.
