Vibe Hotel Hobart

Room was nice with a beautiful view and hotel is in good location. Staff Prema was extremely friendly and helpful.

There was a rattling sound coming from the ventilation near the toilet. Friendliness and courtesy of other staff could be improved. Example a simple hello when staff enter the lift and also possibly holding the lift open when staff (who was already in the lift) notices customers with luggage. Was staff accidentally recorded a bar tab from our room at checkout which was eventually found to be incorrect (staff who noticed this swiftly assisted with correcting the error.though). Perhaps have checks and balances to ensure the correct room is charged.

We loved the service! All staff were attentive and friendly and remembered us when we came and went. Lobby was cosy and welcoming and room was excellent. Pool was the selling point!

One bit of constructive feedback I would suggest is in the pool area, the steps are VERY slippery and there is no handrail. I’m very pregnant so may be a little off balance, and I slipped on the steps on my first visit. I was very lucky my husband was right there to help me but it could’ve been quite dangerous for someone mobility impaired or elderly, or simply someone not expecting it to be so slippery! I’d suggest some of those grippy sticker things on the steps leading into the pool.

New hotel, the rooms with a lovely modern design, clean lines, with a nod to spare modern Japanese designs. Very comfortable bed, well designed bathroom. Thoughtful touches like the best arrangement I have seen for stowing your suitcase, a padded bench set into the open part of the wardrobe. Alternatively this is an excellent place to sit to put on your boots. I liked the hidden strip lighting under the shelf above the bench where you made your tea, and this same hidden strip lighting around the room meant you could adjust the lighting to suit what you were doing. Quite different from hotel rooms from days gone by where you never had adequate light.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear this place was customer focused and exceptionally helpful. Staff were helpful friendly and wanted to make our stay to our liking. Comfortable beds as always with Vibe and the chicken breast in their restaurant was seriously one of the best dishes we had tasted on our trip. Congratulations Hobart Vibe Hotel for your amazing hospitality.

I really can’t think of anything really. Only thing if I was being very picky was the wait in the restaurant. We had travelled from Launceston that day so just wanted to eat, shower and hit the comfy bed.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant had a lovely menu and we enjoyed happy hour in the lobby. We ate downstairs in the restaurant 3 nights of an our 3 night stay. Staff were friendly. Pool was great too. Central location.

Parking next door was pretty expensive especially if you take your car out and back in, would be good for the hotel to have a deal with the parking lot to have a flat daily rate where you can come and go. As an example we had our car in the afternoon and overnight and the next day we went to take it out. We thought we would pay the $23 maximum daily rate, nope $39 for that time period cos it was from the day prior and the morning. Went out for the day then parked again. So over a 4 day stay the parking added up. So just look at other options.

This was a smart, modern and well-situated hotel. It was clean with a lovely bathroom and nice bed. There were coffee pods and a mini-bar. The television also allowed chrome-casting. The breakfast was by selection from the menu and this was delicious (also allowing late breakfast until 10:30pm). I can recommend the Granola which had fresh berries and the Big Breakfast. There was also a central-control heating/cooling system. The pool was heated and the room was quite warm. The gym also looked well-equipped.

The room size was rather small and the view looked straight out onto the hospital carpark which wasn't ideal. However, out of the corner there was a view on the mountainside.

On the whole clean and staff friendly.

The breakfast was good but not great. A small buffet would be better. The menu breakfast was not consistent. A bit greasy and portions a little on the reserved side. Tea and coffee should be refillable . Regarding the room. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate needs to be replenished daily. Spare toilet roll would be nice too. Asked for tissues twice but not replaced. Rubbish needs to be emptied more regularly if you have stupidly small bins. Toilet cistern intermittently running. No parking. Or if you do not have a car park offer to take and bring your car. No carparking is such a pain.

Generally a great hotel for a central stay in Hobart. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were quiet despite it's central location.

Few issues with the aircon on the first night and housekeeping didn't clean our glasses but returned them to the drawer.. but the biggest issue we found was there is no parking is available at the hotel. The recommended carpark is around the corner and easy to get to however the rate is around $27 per entry - not per day - which is not cost efficient if you need to come and go a few times during the day.

The hotel is modern and central. I stayed the night before and the night ending of a tour I had around Tasmania. The bed was really comfy, and the staff were so nice to upgrade me to a harbor room view. Unfortunately I didn’t check out the pool and gym.

I thought it was a little expensive for a basic hotel room, while it was a nice room, it was still more expensive than most other places in Hobart. I walked out the side alley to the shopping mall and on both occasions was yelled at by a homeless man on the street. a little unnerving walking around alone, even when it was still light outside.

On arrival, we received a warm greeting and complementary upgrade to the best room the hotel has on offer. We were celebrating my husbands 30th birthday, and arrived back to our room in the evening to find a wonderful surprise (dessert & wine!). The room and harbour views were spectacular, and we used the pool facilities several times which were a clean and calm wellness space. The design brings guests many thoughtful Tasmanian elements through its art work and room titles. The hotel is contemporary, well designed and in a world of its own separate from the busy city streets. The location is excellent for parking and in walking distance of many beautiful eatery’s. We would most definitely stay at Vibe Hobart again, thanks for having us!
