HotelO Kathedral

The receptionists were very helpful. They were able to ensure that breakfast was available at 7:00 instead of 7:30, because I had an early day ahead of me. The breakfast itself was good: a fairly standard continental breakfast, though maybe not as many options as other hotels. All of the food tasted great, though. I especially liked the pancakes! They even gave me a wakeup call, that I did not ask for but appreciated because I was running late! Had a very day before and slept like a log in the comfy bed. The bath tub is also massive. Perfect for a long soak!

The floor in my room had some kind of sand or dirt all over it, which was unpleasant to walk on. So the hotel needs to ensure that it is properly vacuumed and/provide disposable slippers. The rest of the room was very clean, though. The internet was not very good. I could use Instagram fine but not YouTube and my phone kept giving me security warnings about the network.

Everything! Perfect location with an amazing view from the room. Superb breakfast line. The room is very comfortable while being slightly small which is understandable considering its location. Friendly service from everyone at the hotel. Despite being in the middle of the old town, it wasn’t so loud for us. They provided a pair of ear plugs as well.

The bathtub could have a curtain/partition to prevent water from splattering on their wood floor. Though it was certainly esthetically pleasing without one for sure.

Friendly and helpful staff. The view from the room is unparalleled! The fact that there is a mirror wall so you can also see the cathedral when your head is on your pillow is just such a lovely bonus! You are in the absolute centre of town, so yes it can get noisy. But the hotel provides earplugs and honestly, if you book a hotel in the centre you should know it's not going to be quiet. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. Again, with a view of the cathedral! No other hotel for us in the future, when we come to Antwerp again! Highly recommended!

Nothing that was not expected: yes there are some loud people outside at night (it was Saturday night, so naturally this will occur), but you know that when you book a hotel in the centre of town. But with the windows shut and your ear plugs in, it is very do-able. The room was too warm for our liking at night and we could not work out where the airconditioning was. That may be on us though, as we did not try very hard either.

Superb location right in the centre of Antwerp tourist area. Easy walk to all sights. Breakfast was extensive & catered for my Vegan partner. We had room 11 which was on the first floor with a nice view of the Cathedral. Given the closeness to the street, noise could be an issue during summer months but was okay when we were there after Christmas. Staff were very friendly.

The bed in our room was made up of 2 * single mattresses & was a tad hard. If you have to drive into the centre, parking & access to the hotel are a little difficult.

The location was fantastic. Right off the main square and in front of the cathedral. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and had a gorgeous view. The bathtub was also an added plus. The reception hosts are super sweet and theres tons to eat and see all around.

Though no fault of their own, the cathedral bells go off quite often especially on Sundays. There also isnt a 24 hour reception so if you lose your key, it could be problematic. Also, the prices get doubled on weekends so plan ahead if you want to stay here on the weekend as that great deal can get very pricey very quickly.

I loved the location. It’s unbeatable! Being so centrally located meant that I was able to return to the hotel throughout the day to rest between sightseeing. Having air conditioning in the room was also great! I know within Europe, it’s not always there, so it was very appreciated especially considering that it was 30+ degrees (for a day or 2) while I was in Antwerp.

The room, although comfortable was tiny with just enough space around the bed to walk around the room and that was it (I’d reserved a single room). This made the room feel pricey, given how small it was.

We really enjoyed the room with its nice view. The location of this hotel is superb. The rooms are kinda small but have all basics needs such as a nice shower, windows, good beds, coffee machine, etc.

We specifically asked for a kingsize bed. But we still got 2 single beds with kingsize sheets. Sadly, we only noticed this when we arrived at the hotel after midnight. So we just went to bed and didn't try to get it fixed.

We stayed in the hotel's apartment, just across the street. Great location and plenty of beds but it is fairly open plan so don't expect a lot of privacy and be aware there is only one shower (in the same bathroom as the one toilet) for a place that can sleep up to 8 people.

The apartment would benefit from a second toilet and shower.

The room had a beautiful view of the Antwerp cathedral. The room was also big enough for three adults, as it had two separate bedrooms, which I really enjoyed. The location is also perfect as it's very close to a metro station and right in the heart of the city.

The hallways were kind of dark and a little dirty, but that wasn't a really big deal as you don't spend any time there anyway. The price is also kind of high but the location makes up for it,

it was noisy at night at times but earplugs are provided, you can shut the windows and use the air con for temperature control
