Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sherwood Park-Edmonton Area, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly service and efficiently looked after when we checked in. The room was nicely appointed. Comfy beds. Appreciated the armchair; used it for reading while my wife used the writing desk. Appreciated the use of refillable containers in the bathroom for hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Beats the heck out of those wasteful little packets. Good breakfast; really liked the omelette! Got my day off to a nice start before we headed out to Elk Island Park for a day of hiking.

Generally very happy with our stay as the service and accommodation more than met our expectations. At breakfast, I noted the dining area staff went out of their way to take care of shortcomings in available items.

Our room included breakfast and the breakfast selection was amazing. The staff was very helpful and gave us extra blankets, coffee/sugar/cream etc and towels when we asked. Coffee was available in the breakfast room, all day. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Since it was a pet friendly hotel, I was a little concerned when I book, that the rooms might be a little roughed up. But it seemed to be a newer hotel kept in very good condition.

The only down point to this hotel was the hot tub and the vending machine didn't seem to work. But I still would rate this hotel very highly.

I loved that my dogs were so welcome there! They even had a bag of wonderful treats. My big dogs felt so at home! There was a few good grassy spots for them. And the soaker tub was so big! As a tall person I was very happy with that!

The dog friendly rooms are at the front of the hall by the desk.i think it's for ease of access though. If we were at the other end, there would be less foot traffic. Dogs like to tell their people when there are other people close by. I probably should have called ahead and told the hotel people that though. I am sure they would have totally understood!

We have stayed at this property several times, so that is a testament to our satisfaction with the property. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed, however all rooms done have large tv’s. The breakfast is fantastic and would certainly cost upwards of $15/person at a restaurant. The hotel is very conveniently located in Sherwood Park, close to main arteries and the highway. If you like to walk there are restaurants and even a brewery within a 20 minute walk. This is now our go to hotel when visiting family.

I wish it was a shower in the bathroom and not a tub.

coffee could be available in the lobby so you could get some after breakfast closed and you were still in your room breakfast should always be available until at least 10 not just on weekends our bathroom door stuck half way open/closed so had to be prepared, should be an easy fix I would think

We stay here a couple of times a year and love the location, and have always loved the breakfast. Lindsay at the front desk is the most amazing front desk staff I have evert met! She is beyond friendly and extremely accommodating…. Lindsay gets 6/5 ⭐️

We have always loved the breakfast, but this year our entire group was extremely disappointed in the quality. Most items were empty and what was there was cold and looked undercooked.

location and beds were really good which is my number one when staying in a hotel

they need to get sliding doors for the bathroom. unless you are a size 5 if you want to be able to close the door without troubles. I also cut the top of my toes trying to close the door as it was so cramped. Then when I went for a shower I pretty much had to stand on the toilet so I could close the door and get in

Staff was very helpful. Booking.com reservation didn't come through but she was able to sort it out and get us a room at the same rate. Room was clean and comfortable. Did not have the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Pool area was in need of a cleaning. Lots of gravel and hair on the pool deck and hot tub water looked cloudy. Location was more on the industrial side, not in amongst restaurants and shops.

The continental breakfast was fantastic! Lots of different food options and when certain food was empty, the ladies filled the trays quickly. It is worth setting an alarm to get up for.

There were a few bulbs burnt out in the room and the bathroom. I didn't mention it to anyone though, so it is of no fault of theirs.

Very easy to find and close to amenities. Breakfast was a great surprise, I was expecting cereal and fruit but we got nice hot Breakfast it was delicious.

The hotel was very clean however when you have a toddler they find stuff. There was a wrapper just under the bed and a cheezie we also found coins just under the bed along the frame. Vacuum probably just couldn't reach it but thought we would mention it. Everything else was fantastic.
