Beautifully appointed Lobby, and room was small but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Wall to wall walk in shower was sooo nice. Room was soundproof because we didn’t here a peep from the hall all night. We ate in the pub for dinner. Food was very tasty with a nicely varied menu. Beef barley soup was hearty, calamari delicious and salad fresh and chock full! Breakfast buffet was varied and covered every taste and diet restriction. Coffee was excellent! The gift shop had lots of unique items for young and old and all interests. We would definitely try to stay here again or at the very stop for a meal here.

We were fortunate enough to use a discount coupon otherwise the room would not have been affordable for us.

The hotel is really clean and nice in every way and the staff are super friendly and caring. The rooms are modern and non smoking. Parking is free and onsite, we checked in early on a Sunday and the room were already available.

The restaurant is not part of the hotel even though it's connected to it. The service is sometimes very slow and while the food is good the staff gets really overwhelmed. On the two nights were there they arbitrarily stopped seating guests an hour early and on the second night we could not even get a seat so we ordered take out rather than deal the cranky staff. The breakfast also served in the restaurant is completely different... No staff melt downs or drama everything is good and the coffee is outstanding.....

Cleanliness was excellent. Bed was large & comfortable. Nice toiletries. Hotel provided a locked room to store luggage. There was a computer for guests to use. Hotel within easy walking distance of a well-stocked supermarket.

Room was close to the lift which said "going down" & "3rd floor" etc - very annoying at 4am when people were transferring to Great Bear Lodge etc. 4pm check in, they did manage to let us have our room at 3pm after we begged. The restaurant - permanently fully booked during our 2 stays, full of locals. We had to walk down to the waterfront to eat dinner. The breakfast is poor, would benefit from some fresh fruit, yogurts & a better range of cooked fare.

The room was clean, stylish and had lovely First Nation design elements, also in the reception area, too. The bed was superb!! Perfect level of comfort and gorgeous linens. This was so very welcome after travel. I asked for a quiet room and got one - thank you. I ate in the restaurant (lunch) and ordered a food collection later in the day. The pistachio crusted halibut was dreamy! Best to prebook on a Sunday, I hear as not much else is open in town.

The hotel was short staffed so there was no help with bags, but I took a luggage trolly and just worked around.

Good breakfast provided. Room was spotless and provided a very nice sleep. Reception was very professional and efficient. We asked for a quiet room and that was provided.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovations so not able to comment on it. However, the pub was open for meals. Food was great, but the server had to be reminded of things and it was hard to find a clean table (both at dinner and breakfast the next morning). Granted it was a very busy evening and staffing likely short so I can't really fault them for that.

The room was very clean, comfortable and up to date, with fantastic Indigenous themed decor. Extremely comfortable bed; excellent pillows - where can I buy these types of pillows?? The unexpected Continental Breakfast was very good (great coffee), along with the fact that silverware and china plates/cups & saucers were provided...excellent! not plastic plates/utensils. The breakfast room was lovely and bright.

The nax'id' Pub was a bit of a disappointment in terms of atmosphere; bit worn looking, but we sat outside on the patio, and did enjoy our meal.

Breakfast was good Sausages were very nice flavour There were beans and egg “cakes” potato chunks Also cereals, porridge packs, yogurt, and bread, buns and bagels to toast, packaged waffles. Juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate Enough for everyone We had a late dinner in pub, we shared nachos which were good. We had a great server, Darren from Dublin and also talked to Mac who is from Port Hardy. Great sleep Comfortable beds.

It would have been wonderful to have a bathtub No handicap parking spots

Kwa’lilas is a very decent modern hotel - well run, clean, organised, great Wi-Fi, with friendly, helpful staff….everything you want on a trip. It’s a little pricier than some of the motel options but it’s worth the extra in my opinion. My room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a bonus - it wasn’t mentioned to me when booking. And the attached pub had some good beers and served excellent food - something else which I didn’t expect.

Hanging space for clothes in the room was limited and an iron would’ve been handy. One drawback is there isn’t a laundry - a place in this location would really benefit from having a couple of washing machines and dryers. I’m sure they have the space….
