Great location! We spent time walking round. There was a nice restaurant on site. The room was big enough for my family & dog. Room was very clean.
Rooms where big but a bit old. The walls were thin. The door hinges needed oil-very noisy when opening & closing door. Only one key-which was hard to share with my family. The front desk staff was not very friendly or welcoming.

Cozy and comfortable room situated across from nice lite hiking trails that my dog and I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the Japanese/Korean restaurant next door. Loved the fried chicken.
No kitchenette (upgrade next time) and a desk to do office work would have been nice but overall very nice room / motel. I enjoyed my stay at the Pioneer.

We arrived in the wee hours of the morning after a long ferry ride. Our hostess waited up for us to check in and greeted us with friendliness and a welcoming smile!
The surrounding scenery of the Inn was beautiful, however, for travellers without a vehicle it is tricky to get to and from the establishment. If choosing to travel by taxi, it is costly.

The lady who booked us in was pleasant and kind. We appreciated her waiting to book us in. We left before the breakfast so we could catch the Port Hardy ferry. The sheets were linen I think and I felt like royalty!! A quiet, restful night.

The staff person was very helpful.We had a 2nd floor room the first trip and when he saw that we were seniors he helped with our luggage. The second trip he gave us a ground floor room.
Firstbroom lacked enough plugs to charge phomes, etc.

We stayed there in preparation for our trip on BC Ferries to Prince Rupert. The office staff asked us to take a different room which turned out to be a mini-apartment with kitchenette, sofa and a very large bedroom. AND they lowered the price by $10 because they made this change.

A bit dated from the outside but staff was friendly and the room was clean and very comfortable. And all non smoking rooms were greatly appreciated.
No lock on the main window which staff said wasn't a concern "we don't worry about that here" but as a person travelling alone, it was a concern to me....I found a stick to use. Parking lot needs a bit of upgrading.

Staff was great at checking me in. Friendly at engaging. When I returned from dinner chatted with me about my Harley and my trip up to that point.
No restaurant or breakfast to offer. Probably because of COVID.
