Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Barrie

The room was very clean and presented nicely. Loved the microwave/coffee station/fridge combo. Enjoyed the walk-in shower, and the countertop was beautiful. Loved how that was carried over to the window ledge. The room was a bit small, but honestly, it was all we needed.

The room was chilly when we arrived. We made several attempts at turning the a/c off to no avail. To be fair, we didn't ask for assistance from the front desk. The lack of a charging station was a bit disappointing.

It met the needs of our group. We were travelling to area for a hockey tournament as a team. We liked the large lobby area with television where we congregated to watch the world cup!

It was rather pricey and this really surprised me $326 for one night! The other issue that was very concerning was that although the pool was open, the hot tub was not and had been emptied. The empty hottub is connected to the pool and posed a major safety hazard. This is very dangerous and I can't believe that there hasn't been a serious injury. It should be covered at minimum.

the location was excellent. the King suite was perfect for combining some work with our vacation. a real desk check was great. the hot breakfast and 24 hour coffee was all you could ask for.

the towels were too small! we did not have the large bath towels I’ve come to expect at hotels.

The staff (from front desk to housekeeping) went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend special. The 24/7 availability of hot drinks in the breakfast area was also welcomed - especially when coming back late after the event. The beds were super comfortable.

The portable breakfasts is very good. Unfortunately the front desk person also had to double for the kitchen Prep person. Since we were there for three days we were able to talk with the front desk staff for various needs. They went above and beyond and I would highly recommend each one of them for their great customer service.

There seem to be an unusual odour As soon as you walked in the front door, it could've been someone smoking and it came in through the vents.The smell was consistent throughout our stay but only occurred in the front lobby. I felt the room could have had a deeper clean, especially behind the beds and end tables.

room was fantastic. very Clean. very comfortable. Included breakfast was fantastic and well organized. staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. check in was under 3 minutes. check out under 30 seconds.

not the best for scenic views but stores etc very close. close to highway

Staff were very helpful and excellent in their service. Very welcoming and supported us with navigating around Barrie. Also gave us tips to shop around.

Would be great if there were provision for lunches or dinner.

overall a very great experience and the beds were soooo comfy, netflix and youtube on the tv made the night so much better as well

Breakfast could have been better, more american style than european. but it was not enough to mark the hotel down.

Well maintained for the most part. The door took forever to close but otherwise was fine. Felt very safe and was surprised there was such a huge breakfast which included a warm breakfast burrito. Overall well done and would feel safe staying again.

The bed had a mattress bigger than the frame so it was somewhat tippy if you were on the edge of the bed.
