Angus Inn Motel

No breakfast. Location was convenient but not scenic or pleasant. There is an abandonned building and a vacant lot next door. Unseemly at best, but the motel itself was more than satisfactory. Water was hot and the water pressure was perfect. Room was clean. Ari conditioner was adequate and working. TV was flawless. The fridge was excellent. Check in and out was seamless and without any bother. Parking was free and the pool was clean and available. One is close to every kind of restaurant in just about any direction. A petrol station is just across the street, Gorcery stores are in a minimal walking distance. The facility was 20 minutes from Barrie, the waterfront and the soccer fields. Beautiful area. I would go back.

Again, the only drawback was the property next door.

Service. The people were very kind and understanding.They switched our room right away when we had no kitchenette and were accommodating as much as possible.

Well, we were hoping to have rooms cleaned a couple of times during our week stay. hey did change towels and removed garbage. Also the only day we had free to use the pool it was unavailable due to a filter problem. That was a bummer.

Super clean and quiet little motel with wonderful, friendly staff. Conveniently located to restaurants, a grocery store and several corner stores. There are BBQs on site for use and a nice little outdoor pool. Our room was neat and tidy, the bedding was comfortable and clean. The front desk attendant was super accommodating and helpful. We were easily able to make arrangements to stay an additional night without any hassle and were glad that we did.

I booked this motel as booking.com said it was pet friendly. (see attached picture). when I got to the motel I was advised that it was not pet friendly. there was a sign in the office that said it was pet friendly and you would be charged $15 for your pet. the owner came to talk with me and he said as well it was not pet friendly and the sign in the office was old. after ensuring the owner that my small dog stays in her crate when we leave the room and will not make a mess and the fact we have no where else to stay that night, he agreed my pet could stay and I would have to pay the $15 fee. the rest of the stay was fine.

Don't judge from the outside! The Angus Inn Motel has exceptionally clean, modern and well appointed rooms. I never used the flat screen TV! My room had a queen-sized bed that was very comfortable. Also the room had a large fridge, microwave, coffee maker, two burner stove, dishes and utensils. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. Excellent value! I'd stay here again. It was also quiet at night.

One night my neighbours were loud. This did not last the entire night and this was beyond the control of the Motel management. I did not complain.

The room was very clean, smelled fresh, had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. the decor was up to date enough. We had 5 rooms in a row, which was wonderful. The rooms were quite sound proof, allowing for a good night sleep. There were lots of amenities within a short walking distance.

Not a big deal, but parking lot a bit tight when departing.

Location was very close to CFB Borden for son's military course graduations. Chucks Restaurant is across the street for dinner. The Stacked Pancakes restaurant is just south for breakfast.

Sadly the mattresses were extremely hard. Harder than out trailer mattresses. Lots of the TV channels were blocked, ie; even City TV Toronto was blocked.

The location is very convenient, close to Tim Horton's and grocery stores, as well as the base and Barrie. Easy to find, plenty of parking. The room is basic but has all the amenities for a short stay.

The microwave in the room didn't work, so I wasn't able to heat up my left overs from lunch. A minor issue.

Easy access to stores in the area, rooms were clean with some minor attention to detail needed. Overall good stay for our group.

If the pool hours were open before 1130am, limits access to the pool before checkout.

Great location as it was between Highland Nordic and Hardwood hills. Loved Mona’s Jerk on the Main Street for dinner within walking distance.

For my taste , the bed was abit firm.
