Rideau Heights Inn

First, the location is near Hog's Back Falls and the start of the Rideau Canal which I love to go to. As well, tall white pines make the very spacious property beautiful and great to go for a walk around. It's also a good distance from the main road. There are no obnoxious security lights, so a good night's sleep in a dark room is a welcome delight. For those who aren't as outdoorsy as I, it's just a 2 km drive to a great breakfast at Cora's, some crazy shopping, and a bit of eye-gazing at Mercedes Benz on West Huntclub. The room is suberbly clean and comfy and I love the bathroom sink and large counter outside the bathroom wall. Finally, Raj was a terrific host, easy to talk to and helpful.

Okay, there is a flaw. If you don't eat breakfast the meagre offering will suffice.

the location was handy to work and to a national gym chain that I have membership with. I thinking the property would be relaxing in the summer because it is on a spacious property with trees and tucked in away from the busy Prince of Wales Drive.

it is a wood construction and if you are on the ground floor in the 2 story building (there is a single story building as well) it may be loud. My neighbor above me pounded their feet so hard that it shook the lightbulbs. I was a large room with a sitting area. It had a mini fridge so it should’ve had a microwave too but didn’t. I microwaved my food at the motel office. The staff were kind.

Room was good for what we needed. Very clean!!! Close to where we needed to go and close to Hunt Club Rd which was where we went for meals. Very quiet area and easily accessible to the main highway to get to the 401.

The breakfast assortment wasnt that good. we went to a restaurant but that is what those breakfasts are. (Continental). It was an older building, could use some upgrades. We were disappointed that we couldnt watch the curling on TV that evening and had to wait for the highlights the next morning. Need bigger towels for showering and bathing.

The staff is nice and accommodating. Warm welcome by a gentleman from Latin America and very polite and kind. The room was averagely clean, the sheets were clean but the washroom was not too clean. Heater& AC available in the room as well. Parking is right in front of your room so ideal if it's raining.

Check-out was not very pleasant the staff was not very nice. i asked to get my 200$ refund and he said i will do it after you leave whereas i had to insist that we weren't from the region. - the washroom wasn't that clean but it was bearable as we were there only for the overnight sleep and we had arrived quite late anyway.

Quiet location. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Parking right outside our door was convenient. Staff was friendly. Clean and well cared for grounds. 15 mins from downtown Ottawa made visiting attractions easy. Room was exactly as advertised as well.

Had to ask for extra towels even though we booked for 3 nights. There wasn't a don't disturb sign to put on our door for cleaning staff. Almost had an embarrassing moment 😳....

Big, clean room with couch, coffee table, desk, mini fridge, coffee maker. A power strip on the bedside table was an extremely thoughtful and useful touch. Free basic breakfast. All for an extremely good price. Staff person at office were friendly and helpful with a couple of small requests.

Breakfast was reasonable given the room price, but a little upgrade or two--a little fruit and maybe some danishes or donuts, or a slightly better grade of muffin--would really seal the deal.

The price was very good for the size of the room and location. The included continental breakfast was also very nice. The bed was a king and very comfortable (although the pillows could have been better).

There was noise throughout our entire stay coming from what seemed like the water pipes in the walls. The toilet cistern also kept refilling every 15 minutes or so and it was very loud, even with the bathroom door closed. It was a bit annoying when we were going to sleep, but otherwise it didn’t bother us too much.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Free continental breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a nice grassed area outside with seating. Motel was set back from road so no traffic noise.

I was in the room next to office (as I requested). Could do with some soundproofing as I could hear every word from the office when the staff were talking. Not so much an issue during the day but in the middle of the night, actually woke me up several times. The tv reception was awful, crackling on every channel.

Room was nice and spacious. It was clean and neat. The two queen beds were okay for the family. There was cereal, coffee, tea, yoghourt for a light breakfast. We were able to park right in front of the motel room.

Not being picky, but they were rationing milk for guests. So I guess buy your own milk. There was also no microwave in the room so you had to go all the way to the reception, and it kept tripping off the electrical circuit. Hope they fix that, otherwise a simply nice and decent experience.

Room was excellent! And Bed was extremely comfy! Quiet! Space of room ! Loved the bathtub. Park vehicle in front of room. Furniture was excellent! Enjoyed having a key to open room door ! Nature and quiet space! Very convenient area for me!

Remote wasn't working properly for TV! The carpet was vacuum and coffee table wasn't clean the tub want clean. And the fridge was unbalanced and kept making lots of noise. No microwave in room. No towels ready !
