Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Montreal Airport

The gentleman who checked us in was excellent. He gave us a great welcome, was friendly and professional, and later on he responded immediately to a restaurant issue we were having. Having just arrived from the UK we were exhausted and in urgent need of drink, a light meal and a good nights sleep. Unfortunately your restaurant was full and the clearly overstretched staff were only able to offer the suggestion “come back in an hour”. They told us there wasn’t a booking system and that we would just have to trust to luck in an hour’s time. We met other hopeful diners who had been told the same thing. We understand that restaurants are likely to be full on Saturday evenings but the absence of a table booking system is, in your class of hotel, a disgrace. A table booking in an hour or so would have been normal and acceptable to us. “Try again later” - no thank you. In desperation we spoke to your colleague who checked us in and he immediately swung into action. We don’t know how he managed it but ten minutes later we were sitting in the Double Tree Hotel restaurant enjoying our drinks. In the heat of the moment I didn’t note the name of our saviour but please pass our sincere thanks to him. He saved the day for us by showing kindness, understanding and by taking the trouble to go the extra mile. We will be visiting our son and his family in Canada several times a year for as long as we are able to and your colleague’s actions have convinced us to make Fairfield Inn & Suites our first choice for future visits.

The complete lack of any form of table booking system in your restaurant. See my comments above.

This facility was spotlessly clean and met all my expectations. Even though it was positioned adjacent to the VIA Rail line and the Montreal Airport, the rooms were soundproofed, and no outside noise was heard. We arrived late in the evening. The hotel had a shuttle to pick us up at the Dorval rail terminal in minutes. Upon arriving and after checking in, we enjoyed a delicious meal in the Mariott full-service restaurant. The following morning, their breakfast was complete and well presented. Each of the staff members we came in contact with was professional and kind. The hotel's airport shuttle runs on the half hour, and we were delivered to the airport quickly. Thank you, Marriott.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were excellent, welcoming, helpful etc. The room , the bed ,quality of air in the room were delightful which ensured you had a good nights rest. I will certainly Stay there again.

Dinner, We ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a Montréal smoked meat sandwich plate. It was a great disappointment. I was shocked, as here we were in Montreal ,where it is so easy to find good food and this was terrible.The quality of the ingredients was good but the preparation was a failure. Just a mention, it is not easy to get around without a car from the hotel, Dorval is well served with public transportation but it is not possible to get to them. Taxi service is difficult also ,as short trips are not usually accepted by the taxi drivers..

First, the staff at reception very friendly and welcoming, informative. The hotel facilities comfortable and modern, clean. Room very spacious, comfy beds and smell so clean, bathroom bigger than expected with bathtub and all the toiletries. Impeccable! The indoor pool is next to gym, cozy and good enough for relaxing or playing with kids. Good location, next to via rail station and only 5 minutes from International Airport. The have a parking lot in hotel, 20 dollars per day. They have a restaurant in the property, or just drive 10 minutes to Montreal closest restaurants. Nice and fancy hotel/restaurants area. THE BREAKFAST is better than expected! Many options, fruits, yogurts, drinks, toasts, pastry, pancakes, scramble eggs, sausages, homemade fries, ham. A variety, and delicious! The ladies at breakfast time provided a great service. Easy check-out!

Very close to train station, at first is distracting to see the trains arriving but the room is sound proof so no worries. Nigh sleep was cozy and quiet

Very convenient location to the airport and train station which was why we booked there and loved that there was a shuttle to transfer us from the airport.The staff were very welcoming and I really appreciated having access to free coffee at the station beside the front desk as we got in late and I really needed a coffee to help me to unwind.Lovely surprise that service was provided.As well the breakfast selection was great and probably the best breakfast we have ever had that was included with a room.

The price was high for such a short stay.

Staff was extremely good, very helpful and very kind. Facilities/cleanliness /comfort/Location extremely good. The Room/washroom was extremely clean. Inside the hotel Noise was zero. Shower was high pressure and was very hot. I had to leave the hotel at 0500 am and they offered cold breakfast from 0300. Cold breakfast was extremely good. We enjoyed very hot tea, very hot coffee, very hot chocolate drinks, and were available 24/7. A Microwave oven was available 24/7. Location -very close to the International Airport, I greatly appreciate the free shuttle offered for 24/7.You get into the shuttle bus from no 8-departure lounge. There is a shuttle service every 30 minutes. Safety within the hotel was excellent. Wi-fi was extremely good. The Elevator to the upper floors was very convenient. Very friendly and very fast check in and check out.

Staff was very helpful with check-in and explanations Room and halls were very clean Breakfast was superb. The breakfast area was kept very clean and well-stocked by attentive employees. Dependable & frequent airport shuttle came right on schedule. Shuttle driver helped me with my luggage. Everything worked in the room Excellent location near the airport

The clock alarm went off at midnight & woke me up & then kept going off after that. I finally unplugged it. The room rate was slightly high.

The hotel is very close to VIA rail train station and Montréal airport. The free shuttle bus (5 minute ride) to the hotel was helpful even though we waited for over 30 minutes. We could walked, but the road had no sidewalk and we had suitcases. The hotel was clean. There was a mini fridge in the room. The restaurant served a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the pool was still closed due to covid. We checked out the hotel to catch our early flight. They gave us a breakfast-to-go bag (muffin, juice, yoghurt, and fruit)before getting on the free shuttle bus(5 minute ride).

The Fairfield Inn is my go to hotel when I am flying out of Montreal. It is close to both the airport and the train station. The complementary shuttle is really helpful. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The complementary breakfast is delicious and there is something to suit everyone’s taste and/or dietary sensitivities.

My experience with the on-site restaurant was not the best.

The room was clean and very quiet considering it back onto the main trainline and the airport was so close by. Breakfast was excellent so much choice

When at the airport you needed to call the hotel for the shuttle bus, they picked up but then kept me waiting for over 5 minutes I gave up in the end and got a taxi, only to find out that the bus ran every half an hour. I tried to find this information out before I flew to Montreal but it wasn't available it was only when you checked into the hotel that you found this out. Too late for me
