El Khan Sharm Hotel

The hotel has very friendly staff especially Mr Saeed and Shaadi were always so helpful and worked hard during a very busy time for the conference I was there for. The bar staff always so kind and lovely to my 2 year old son who loved running around the lobby area. The location was also really good and accessible to the Old Market area and had public transport to take into the centre. We also loved some of the restaurants they had around the hotel within a few minutes of walking there is a lovely Einstein Kaffe and also McDonald's and chemist's etc around as well as supermarkets.

Although the rooms were so big and we liked that the pools were clean every day but they were very cold water so we couldn't swim in it. We also would recommend that the hotel updates it's furniture and bedding with abit more nice new decor as well as the bathrooms. Some of the tiles and paint needed redoing but other than that for a budget hotel it really was the customer service which made a difference. The breakfast was also okay with fresh omelette options and some hot food but a few more hot food choices would have been ideal.

Sayeed at the front desk is simply a legend. He was helpful and concerned to meet any need that we might have, even though the place was full to the brim. I wanted a filter coffee before the restaurant opened - it appeared promptly and with no charge. We needed to stay on for a few hours after checkout - no problem at all. Nader is the Junior Manager. He will tell you about how good Mo Salah is whilst fetching you a taxi or carrying your bags in a very friendly way. Nothing is too much for these people. Stay here- this is the best hotel in Sharm - I should know, I’ve been travelling in Sinai since 1977.

The staff and cleanliness of the hotel are a 10, special mention for Said at reception and Ahmed for leaving always a very clean and decorated room, i would repeat with no doubt,i can't judge the food as I haven't eat here, but im super satisfied, Free wifi arriving to room and all over the hotel is a rare gem in Sharm, for this reason, quality price it will be difficult to find a better option in Sharm than this hotel

-Although it is a fair budget hotel, they afford nice & clean rooms, pools are clean services are good ,Mr. Hazim & Fares from the reception will assist you if any thing is needed as they are so helpful and friendly, Staff will reply your request if anything is needed within few minutes. -Their beach is amazing , and for snorkeling & diving maybe it the best for this they afford bus to transfer you daily from the hotel to their beach and return you back with no extra charges which will make you save some money. -Good location.

we only tried breakfast and it was not the best thing in the hotel So, i recommend if it is available to book without breakfast and save some extra money and go to have a breakfast outside the hotel would be better , there are many restaurants behind the hotel. -Although the location is good but there are no public transportation so you will need to be having a private car or using Taxi.

Staff was so professional i arrived late they gave me some fresh fruits and water , the day after i was late and wanted to leave early without having breakfast but they asked the chef to prepare the breakfast quickly so i can eat before leaving .. also they called me after i left and told me that i forgot my charger in my room they kept it safe in the reception until i returned back and took it .. it was a very good experience and for sure it won't be the last time

Not a beach in hotel,but not far

When checking in I was greeted by the friendly receptionist Mahmoud which checked me in quickly I have given a welcome mango drink and he helped me with my bags to my room. After a few moments unpacking there was a knock at the door and a waiter gave me some drinks and a plate of fruit which was a nice welcoming gesture the first I have experienced this actually. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are basic but spacious and have balconies. This hotel would be a perfect base if you want to be close to the centre of the old town area and somewhere a little quieter. It's a perfect budget hotel. The pool areas are nice with sunbeds with comfortable toppers on them. There is also a free shuttle bus to a near by beach from reception running a morning and afternoon service. Throughout my stay the front of the hotel staff one of them called Ahmed were so helpful and friendly saying "hello how are you" with a nice smile. They helped me contact a excursion provider regarding my pickup time which was a nice gesture. The day I checked out I was able to store my luggage for a few hours while I went to the beach and when I came back Mahmoud offered me a room to take a shower in before I left which was great big thankyou to all of the staff there they are very welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Breakfast had a sufficient amount, however it was served to you rather than a buffet style, therefore I had to waste things that were not to my taste, it was also the same things each day so quite repetitive. But that being said the waiters one of them called Mohammad could not do enough for you and were so attentive to delivering an excellent service, however this point I believe is worth mentioning. The hotel rooms are spacious however a little dated and could do with some touch up refurbishments but otherwise adequate for my stay as I was out most of the time enjoying Egypt.

The staff, including the manager on site, went above and beyond. Always answering questions and always available to talk and ensure all my travellers (10 to be exact) where happy with their stay. Constantly checking in -- made me glad to know my team felt secure at this hotel!

Excellent property and very convenient location . Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic oriental charm.
