Hôtel de l'Étoile

Situated very centrally but quite busy area. Short walk to the marina with fantastic yachts and old town buzzing with bars and restaurants. Room was a good size and very clean, bathroom was very modern, we booked a room for persons of reduced mobility and it was easy to move around in the bathroom with a seat and hand-hold in the large floor level shower, however, the small change in height between carpet and tiles made it difficult to enter in a wheelchair, as the small front wheels turn sideways when they hit the lip- but we managed! Attentive reception assisted with getting our mobility scooter in and out of the hotel- but I think they need to invest in a ramp that can be laid down when required for easier access. The garage parking is nearly opposite the hotel and is -2 levels underground. This car park is a nightmare to get in and out of as it is so steep and narrow.I recommend that anyone using the car park asks the reception to arrange to park and collect your car- we tried ourselves and scratched the whole side of our car and trashed the right wing mirror getting the car back out. It is handy to have parking in such a busy area as all curb parking is paying too, but please don’t try and park in this car park yourself! The reception would be happy to do this for you if you ask. Breakfast was very well serviced with attentive staff bringing drinks and baskets of croissants and rolls etc to your table. The bed was incredibly comfortable and linen very smooth. There is a lift and the whole place is very clean and well run.

As this hotel has rooms for persons of reduced mobility, a ramp should be provided to get into the hotel. Smoothing out the change in floor heights between bedroom and bathroom would be advantageous as described. Garage is not suitable for customers to park them selves, ask the reception as described above.

Terrific location, friendly staff, reasonably priced garage parking nearby all made our three night stay in Antibes great.

Stairwell has shabby, dirty carpet which those using the elevator would never seen. We, however, go down stairs and see this. Also each floor's door from the stairwell are propped open with towels. Is that a fire code issue? Finally, the shower in room #106 has mold in the front near the faucets. I don't think the cleaning staff see this.

The location is amazing. Very close to the train station and a view minutes to the city center by foot. The staff was very nice and so helpful.

There were just some small things which could be better. The smell of the towels for example. This was a bit weird. And we found some hair on the linen of the bed, I guess the beds could be cleaned better.

The hotel was very close to the train station, which was ideal on a hot day when you're lugging around a suitcase. It's also within walking distance to the old town and the beach - 15-20 minutes, totally doable, even in the heat. The hotel was clean, the AC was terrific, and the room was spacious enough. We chose to have our breakfast outside of the hotel, and didn't interact too much with the hotel staff, other than to greet them when we came and went. However, Alain (a concierge) was wonderful - he gave us information about Antibes but also Paris, where he used to live. So, so kind and friendly - he was a highlight at the hotel for us.

Conditioner would've been nice, but that's a minor thing.

Hotel location is very good: 7-10min walk both from train station and from old city/harbor. Perfect 2* hotel which even exceeds some of 3* hotels in terms of room spaciousness: room is very spacious, bathroom as well has space. No balcony which would be very nice to have, but this is probably an exaggeration :) Staff very friendly and supportive: we were accommodated by Rachid who did explain us how to visit the city (it's medieval city and there are defense walls, so there are only few gates), how to join the beach, other information. Other receptionist were also very nice: always smiley and wishing a good day/good evening. In comparison to the old town, area is quiet, but the street nearby is quite busy in early morning, but this is normal. In general we were very pleased by the city of Antibes, it is so cozy, artistic and nice. Easy to connect to Nice or Cannes if needed.

Everything was cool!

Great location easy flat 5 min walk from train station. Bathroom was beautifully renovated. The room was large and had a fridge which was great. The hotel is showing it’s age but removing the carpet (which looks new) and replacing with laminate flooring same as bathroom and replacing curtains with new full length would bring this room up to same standard as bathroom.

Wifi was not great kept dropping out.

This was an excellent stay especially for the money. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from many bars and restaurants. And only about an 8-10 minute walk to the water. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A mini bar was even available as well as the option for breakfast (9 euros).

I have no complaints about my stay at this hotel.

The location was perfect as it was within easy walking distance of the train station and our Air B & B.

We had decided on the morning of our departure that it would be best to have breakfast before checkout and were told that we could not as we should have ordered it the night before at checkin. We did not know this but it felt quite inflexible..We had not encountered this at any previous stay so were not prepared.

Close to the station, everything was as expected from the description, the staff were excellent - very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. The hotel is very well managed. Towels are in good supply and changed daily. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the hotel, depending whether you stroll or saunter. Antibes is a lovely town with the old part and the beaches.

The breakfast seemed expensive for what it was, but that seems to be normal in France
