Royal Antibes - Luxury Hotel, Résidence, Beach & Spa

Excellent location, the beach was just over the road, whilst the Old Town was a 10 minute walk away. The buffet breakfast was always good. The staff are very good and always helpful. The spa offered a good range of treatments and the staff were very professional. We enjoyed enjoyed a relaxing lunch at the beach club restaurant.

Having to pay for a bed on the private beach at €30 + per person was a surprise. This was the same rate as charged to the general public so there was no benefit to staying in the hotel in this regard. The security app on my phone continually flagged that the hotel hi fi was unsecured.

The Hotel staff were very good but Alexander stood out the most! He was very helpful. He speaks French and English fluently and was able to give us some great tips about Antibe and help the reception staff who weren't as fluent but still had a good understanding of English. The hotel is very clean and well presented. We took a car with us and they parked our car over our stay in there car park, so it was nice to know it was kept safe. On our last day they let us leave our car there so we could enjoy the beach before heading for the airport late evening. Overall a great place to stay and good staff.

Don't be fooled by the pictures you see on the holiday sites. The private beach is not in front of the hotel how it appears in photos. However it is only a short walk across the road and it is a pleasant place to be. They charge 25 euros for a bed and towel but we preferred the main beaches which were a great people watch but if you like a bit of private beach its the one for you. The Royal Antibe sounds so glamourous but in fact I would say its a glorified travel lodge. It doesn't have much to it but it is super lovely inside and clean which everyone loves.

The reception staff were exceptional. They booked us taxis when required, and sightseeing trips also. On our checking out day, Easyjet cancelled our flight, and a lady at reception, booked us a train from Antibes to Paris, and also a Eurostar from Paris to London. She printed all the documentation and was so helpful and reassuring. A gentleman booked us a taxi to the train station and we arrived home the same day without any further drama. All the staff spoke very good English and were always helpful and courteous.

The view from our room was straight onto a wall which was part of the atrium, but apart from sleeping and showering, we spent very little time there. If we had been having a longer break, it would have been a little disappointing to have no view of anything, however, our price for the room reflected the view, which I was aware of when booking.

Close to the beach and great restaurants. Zero stress and at ease check in, thanks to the great positive receptionist. Welcoming, cheerful and helpful staff - we will come back Open 24/7 which is very important for us checking in and out at unconventional hours. Everything was great, size of the room was small but manageable for the price we paid Peaceful and relatively quiet. Spa area is new, clean, and in great modern style, for adults only which makes it exeptionally peaceful and relaxing. AC works great. King size bed.

Our bed mattress was not the most comfortable due to a major indentation, therefore, impossible to sleep in a position that keeps the spine straight. The spa openig hours are limited, 10am-6pm - during summer time that's quite short. Room size is good but not great however prefer a king size bed than more room in the room.

Fantastic location, old and new towns and the beach easily accessible on foot. Secure car parking directly below the hotel. Very friendly staff and the size of the apartment was very good for 4 people

Nothing - but it should have been made clearer that the beach club and spa facilities need to be booked in advance. The beach club is also available to people not staying in the hotel, is expensive and the Sun loungers are crammed in.

great location, lovely private beach with restaurant and great views. Spa is small but sufficient and well managed so not overcrowded. Rooms are good size, comfortable bed, excellent cleaning service. Most excellent were the staff, reception always cheerful and engaging, we had a car and the service provided was both a godsend and a welcome surprise.

Slightly noisy at night - mainly due to traffic and especially the stupidly loud motorbikes... don't they have exhausts in France?

Location was ideal for both beach and old town . Perfect combination of chilled sun sea and sand with fine dining and shopping. ( Royal Club Beach is a gem ).

The hotel lounge was lack lustre and completely uninspiring. Staff at Petit Dejuener should be retrained ( or relocated). With plenty of alternative choices nearby the hotel management should wake up to the potential ( address this fundamental albeit significant shortfall).

Clean & Tidy , very friendly and helpful staff

Not all facilities were open ( hotel restaurant and bar shut in evening) It would have been nice if the Beach club was discounted for residents of the hotel as €70 per couple per day to use facilities is not inconsiderable, especially as most eat and drink exclusively from the beach club restaurant there during the day as well.

Location on sea-front, close to Antibes old town, combined with underground parking was excellent. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. Pretty good value for money (but I guess this was due to the off-season time of year). Everything had been modernised and was in grat condition.

Breakfast was expensive for what you get!
