Mercure Reims Parc Des Expositions

The property was in a good location outside the centre of Reims so took around 45 mins to walk which was fine as you could visit champagne houses a long the way and parks. An Uber cost around €12 one way but the hotel also had bikes you could hire etc. The hotel is fairly modern decor.

We upgraded the room once we arrived as there were a lot of children and dogs so the first room we were assigned we could hear loud noises. Hearing dogs bark is not relaxing. The room did not have air con, just a temperate control and a small vent but it did not seem to change the temperature. The room we upgraded to was on the ground floor near the main area of reception and could get noisy with people playing foosball.

I recieved a warm welcome at a late night check in (00:30hrs) by the receptionist who was fluent in English thereby saving me the embarrassment of using my school boy French. Arriving so late I had a concern the secure car would already be full - I need not have worried as there was a section round the back that was only half full. The room was large, clean and well furnished. The bed was especially comfortable and the air conditioning worked a treat and was very welcome on such a hot night (24c). Breakfast was a help yourself buffet and was worth the extra.

It was all good.

Nice room size, comfortable bed, fridge facility can be used if you have a cool bag with contents.

Colour scheme of the room may not be to your taste, that said, most people are probably just looking for a good room to stay overnight on route to their end destination. My only issue was that I feel that the hotel needs to spruce up / upgrade the bathroom shower facilities. I was in room 34 so don't know whether this is reflective of other rooms but, considering the hotel brand name Mercure, I had expected a nicer finish / appearance within their bath / shower facilities (plastic bath, bath taps that move when engaging the shower function and general discolouration above the shower head.

This Mercure Hotel manages to be stylish, efficient, friendly, comfortable and well located for Reims and for motorways. It has a lovely outdoor pool. With a delicious dinner and breakfast included in the price it was exceptional value also. Our standard double room was spacious and air conditioned.

We had to wait for a long time for our food to arrive at dinner. However the staff were most apologetic and gave us a free glass of wine.

Visited this hotel for the weekend as a couple. The communal areas of the hotel were fun and well designed. The bar serves good food and the service is great. Pool was small but clean and fun with lots of inflatables. Staff were extremely helpful and gave us a late checkout as we both had long drives ahead of us. There is plenty of parking which was a good bonus as we had two cars.

The room was basic (small towels) and had an extra single bed in it. Not the most romantic! Too far to walk into the city centre (we are both young, fit and happy to walk).

fabulous hotel for a stop over en route back from the Alps. It had a great vibe and quirky interesting décor. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even baking gluten free bread rolls for my son. 2 mins from motorway great family room with separate bedroom for sofa bed, very spacious for family of 4 for 1 night pleasant pool setting for a cocktail (even though it in the middle of a commercial park)

breakfast was too late starting at 7am for people wanting to get going on their journey we booked two twin rooms but actually didn't' need to as one of the rooms turned out to be a family room with an extra bedroom with sofa bed made up for the children, so really we could have saved the cost of the second room, although i'm sure my husband enjoyed having a room to himself :)

The staff were amazing, so welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was very kid friendly, with the games around for them to play. We had two rooms and loved how they were adjoining.

The pool looked dirty as the tiles around the edges needed a clean, but the rest of the hotel was very clean as you could see the staff deep cleaning the main area.

Had dinner in the restaurant. Menu choice was ok. Drinks menu extensive - not cheap. Room good. Couldn't turn air con up or down, constantly blowing onto bed area. Had good disabled facilities for physically challenged people to get to restaurant. Very pleasant young staff

Opted for well done burger didn't expect it to be over cooked. Could hardly cut into it. Plus Fries were cold!!

Food was fantastic. Staff was super friendly. Wonderfull;, all of them.

The interior facilities really nice, but the pool looks better on pictures than in real life. The bed and the bedlinen were on the cheap side. The location also not great: there is no place to fog by foot and it was not close to the motorway.

Very relaxed although professional style with interesting twists in menu decor and set up. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will return.

The behaviour of one guest towards a brilliant team member who was obviously run off her feet with the unexpected cold callers who swamped the place at once. She remained calm, collected and produced dishes from the kitchen, poured drinks, mixed cocktails, smiled and chatted regarding the offerings. A class act
