Hôtel L'Adresse

The hotel was in a very good location close to the main square which is busy and lively. The room was very clean and looked newly refurbished. It had excellent air-condition and double glazing, necessary with the busy location. The breakfast was the best Continental breakfast we had in France, fruit, yogurt, meats, nuts etc - not just croissant and coffee. The gentlemen on the desk was very polite and professional as well as informative and helpful. I am afraid we did not get his name.

I think it should be noted in the details that were the hotel is located is a purely pedestrian area, therefore you cannot drive your car to the door - even though google maps wanted us to do so. After going around three times we rang the hotel and they kindly explained where the underground carparking was and that we would have to walk to the hotel with our bags from there (about 800m). There is no possibility to drop off your bags at the door.

We really enjoyed the location. You cannot get a car to the front door. You have to be willing to walk about three blocks but the downtown area is only about eight blocks (a nice 20 minute walk). We were close to the nightlife. There are tons of young people here. It is a college town and after 5pm, all the bars and restaurants are loaded with people. Because there are young people, there are many well priced dining options.

The room was small and had no place to put your clothes. We had to live out of our suitcase. The bed was acceptable but nothing to write home about.

The lady who greeted us spoke English, so that made it easier for me. My wife is French, so not a problem. For breakfast I wanted to take our coffee to the room, the lady prepared a tray with 2 coffees and, because everything was slipping around on the tray, and I don't go up stairs very well, a man on the team offered to take the tray up to the 3rd floor for me ! Everything in the hotel was clean and looked like it gets regular maintenance. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and in Tours, there seems to be a restaurant/ cafe/ brasserie every 75 feet !!!

A coffee maker in the room, and next time I'll ask for a room on the 1st floor, the steps are wind around and at 78 I don't do steps with luggage very well :-)

Location is right in the heart of the old town so very convenient for all major sites. The centre is very busy but the room was nevertheless extremely quiet. Very friendly and informative welcome and the room itself, whilst not large, was more than adequate and clean and freshly decorated. Breakfast was both good and good value. If you want to stay right in the centre (which will require parking some 200m away in a secure car park) I would highly recommend Hotel l’Addresse.

Nothing. More than met our expectations.

No cars on this street, easy walking distance to everything and clean hotel! Nothing extra fancy, just the basics, small rooms, but we didn't need the extra space, because we were there to sight see and explore the town. I traveled with my mom, and we each had our own room, still affordable for the location.

I'm lucky the weather was good, because our taxi driver could not drive right up to the front of the hotel! It is a short two minute walk, not a big deal, but good to know for the future. We packed light, but I was thankful it was not raining or snowing!

I got a warm welcome from the owner which was nice. My room was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable and a good choice for breakfast. The location was perfect, in the heart of the old town . The air conditioning was great in the room which I definitely needed during the summer heat.

No issues for me but there is no lift, so a number of stairs to climb if on the third floor. Would be nice to have a kettle in the room

Hotel L’ Addresse is a delightful, small, family run hotel in the heart of Tours. The style is low-key, fully coordinated, and welcoming. Public spaces make maximum use of the warm stone walls. Though in the very heart of Tours, our room was quiet with windows closed and AC on. Our room was exceptionally clean and large for a European hotel room. The proprietors are very kind, willing to answer questions about the area, and their children are an unobtrusive presence who can be briefly seen. Breakfast was nice. One would be hard pressed to find a better location for exploring the old town and the restaurant scene in Tours is really vibrant. Parking was a short walk away in public garage or lot.

Nothing, other than the fact we had to leave!

Overall a great stay, especially for English speakers. The location was central and lovely and accommodations were perfectly clean and manageable. There was however a long walk from the train station if you have a heavy bag. There is no lift, but the concierge helped me with my bag. The rooms have dark curtains and air conditioning which was welcome. The breakfast was fine, but a bit overpriced for what you got. I would certainly stay again.

Location, location, location! The hotel is on a pedestrian zone in the heart of the city, right around the corner from an historic and bustling square. In spite of that, it was very, very quiet. The hotel decor was elegant and really attractive. Our hosts were most attentive and we had great help getting a taxi. Breakfast was excellent as well. No elevator and we were on the top floor but all of our heavy bags were carried up for us. Excellent service

It was a bit hard to get to the hotel as it is in a pedestrian zone and the taxis can only get so close. Our first taxi dropped us off on a street that was under construction, so the bag drag was even more difficult. This certainly wasn't the fault of the hotel - but take it as a heads up

great location, the hotel staff were wonderful. They went out of their way to provide taxi service in the very early morning. Very clean rooms, simple and very quiet. FANTASTIC LOCATION.

the only thing that was a problem for me is that they don't have an elevator. Not a problem for most but it was for me since I have severe arthritis. But if you're young and healthy, this is a great hotel to stay in. In the middle of everything!
