B&B Hotel Bayreuth

The hotel has a superb location right in the centre of Bayreuth, within walking distance of all the attractions like the Wagner museum and the opera house as well as restaurants and shops. The hotel has no parking of its own, but is next door to a large car park. If you park there, if you get your parking ticket validated at the hotel reception you get a discount on the parking, €9 per 24 hours, instead of €12. Car park payment is by payment station when you leave. The room at the B&B was clean, tidy and sizeable with a nice bathroom. Staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was a typical European buffet of cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit and so on. I can recommend it highly.

The location is central and quiet. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet is decent, but you should know that it features no hot food.

Our room was quite small, with little storage space. The internet connection is unsecured. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although you can buy hot drinks from a machine at reception. For what it was, I found the hotel comparatively expensive by German standards, but it has to be said that we were there for the Bayreuth Festival where everywhere is more expensive than usual.

Well run hotel. Aside from the fact that it was very clean, beds were very comfortable, we appreciated the fact that it had good soundproofed rooms, so you don't hear noise from the hallway or other rooms. We liked the location which is close to multiple restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, and shops. It's a 2-3 minute walk to the Richard Wagner residence and museum, as well as a beautiful park for walking and running. It's also convenient that right next to the reception desk, there are several snack and drinks vending machines.

Convenient location, air conditioning was very welcome, comfy bed and a very quiet stay

I was sent a check in code but didn't realise I didn't need to use the machine outside. We wasted quite a bit of time before we realised the main door was open and there was a traditional reception desk upstairs

Very good value for money. Good localisation. Comfortable beds. Tasty breakfast, but quite modest. No key to the room - you open the door with code. Perfect hotel for a city break.

The reception is open only until 12 o'clock. The check-in is remotely - you need to send vaccination certificates by e-mail. The entry code should be sent by text message to the phone, not in the Booking message. It would be easier to find every time you want to open the door. There was no hot dish at breakfast.

Great location, very clean. Loved the late checkout.

No curtains in a room with an aspect of the courtyard and with a direct view to opposite hotel rooms so we had to keep the outer blinds constantly shut and were living in a dark room. Not unfriendly but indifferent staff, did not feel very welcome.

The building is new, designed in a simple but practical way. Big rooms, it's equipment and interiors are not used at all yet. Everything is clean and shiny. Location is super central, you can walk in your slippers to the next supermarket, cafe, bar or restaurant. There is an air cleaner in the room! Guests are spread in the hotel, not stappled in one corner. Very considerate.

I wonder why heating runs over AC (I mean it worked perfectly, it's just not very sustainable or economical)

For sure the location is great. Just few minutes by walk from the Wahnfried Villa and the center. The Hotel is new and very modern. Very friendly staff.

The breakfast should be improved in my opinion (I would say nothing more than standard; for the price of the room I would have expected something more). The room I had only had a view on the inner court/roof.

The room was clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning which was very important in the high August temperatures. The hotel is in the city center close to the magnificent opera house and the main attractions.

We have no complaints. We would stay at this hotel again.

Perfect location right near the city center. Close to shops and plenty of good restaurants. We had a problem with the AC in our original room so we were immediately switched to a new room by the front desk. Definitely would stay again and recommend to others traveling to Bayreuth.
