Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie

The washer and dryer combo in the apartment was absolutely key for this family! Even the maintenance gentleman came to the room quickly when we thought the dryer was broken.. it wasn’t! The dryer collects water in this little tub thing and you have to dump it after do many cycles! Our own ignorance but never seen a dryer like this in the US… Traveling for 2-weeks in Europe with 1-week worth made all the difference! Full kitchen was a huge plus .. gym just enough, pool was crowded but neat - swim lane possible when not so many people. Location around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie! We would absolutely stay again! Worth the cost for a family of four! Super spacious!

The apartment was lovely for a 3 day stay in Berlin. Breakfast was included so we didn't need to make any meals but it was so nice to be able to come back and relax in comfy surroundings before going out for supper. Standard hotel rooms often only have one chair so to have a comfortable sofa and lots of space was a real treat. There are lots of good restaurants nearby with food at reasonable prices. We particularly liked The Bless and China City. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also once we found our way round Berlin's transport system, travel was quite easy. Basically you buy a day transport pass and go round the corner and catch the 200 bus. Once on the bus, you can get off at any intersection with the underground or another bus (details shown on board bus for each stop), and then change to whatever transport is best to get you to your destination. Do the reverse coming back until you end up on a 200 bus (making sure it's going in the right direction though!).

The bar was closed during our stay but it didn't really affect us as we went out every night.

We had a studion which was quite spacious and had a kitchenette. The desk was great for using my laptop. The bed very comfortable with two comforters. Closet with ironing board and iron. Bathroom had hair dryer and a heated towel rack. We got sun from the many windows and enjoyed that seating area for relaxing. We used the kitchen daily and enjoyed coffee using the kettle and french press. A refrigerator is a huge advantage. The pool and saunas were amazing to have access to. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. The location is great for a Berlin visit. Everything is nearby.

The shower, while having great water pressure and hot water, had the soap dispensers taped to the wall. The listing on Booking highlights washing machines but those are only in the 1 and 2 bedroom units. That was a frustrating discovery and the fact there are no laundry facilities at the hotel made it a costly mistake on my part. The kitchen is nice but very tiny with no place to put dishes to dry or store the food you buy. It was well apointed with pans, plates and glasses. Just really small. The lack of oversite and rules for the pool and sauna (Coed and families present) made for a few uncomfortable moments (A man entering the sauna naked, A couple getting very amorous next to the pool)

Centrally located - ten minute walk to checkpoint Charlie, 20 minutes to historic sights - amazing restaurants nearby and don’t sleep on the food truck court at checkpoint Charlie. It satisfied something for everyone in our group and gave us a nice spot to regroup, have a drink and relax. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. They arranged a cab for our ride to the airport and we’re extremely helpful with any questions that came up. A Lidl around the corner along with a bakery was very convenient. One note - AC worked but I would have to say American idea of AC is different then anyone in Europe. Luckily we were on the fifth floor and had great breezes and a balcony. Washer and dryer also came in handy.

Room size was great, separate areas to eat, sit and sleep in the studio apartment, as well as the ability to cook own meals. Great that we had our own washer and dryer. Loved that we could open the window. Everything we really needed was in the room. Staff were friendly and it's not too far from attractions.

Only negative really was that the down button on the elevator on our floor was broken so we always had to chance it and push up to get an elevator. We told them on the first day about it, but due to it being a weekend then public holiday, I guess they couldn't get anyone out to fix it.

The staff was very nice and welcome The room was clean 9,5/10 TV had foreign languages canals - which is uncommon for Germany THE SOUNDPROOF IN THE INNER ROOM WAS SUPERB - even my room was in the middle of the corridor and close to the elevators The current of water in bath was great!

The room's furniture was a bit outdated The curtains were old and not fully sealed the sunshine The breakfast - everything was very fresh, but limited - with the same daily menu It would be nice to have a brochure with a list of TV canals - it would be easier to find what I want to watch.

Spacious room with amazing view and small balcony. Loved the kitchenette and washing machine/dryer, especially since i was traveling for more than one week. Bed was super comfy and the staff was at all times very helpful and lovely. It felt like a little home away from home and i'll definitely return someday and recommend to friends and family. Also, the location is great with only a few walking minutes to Berlin Mitte, with many shops, supermarkets, art galleries, malls and restaurants close by. If you wanna get further, you'll find metro stations close to the venue and an uber is always just a click away.

If i had to pick one thing, it's just a few breadcrumbs under the sofa pillows, but that's because i have eagle eyes :) apart from this, everything was spotless.

Great apartments for a good price. I liked the fact that there was a washer and dryer in the room. Not far from the center, but at the same time in a quiet place. Near the reception there is a small stall with snacks.

The receptionist did not say at the very beginning that the amount on the account is frozen and when you check out, you need to approve the withdrawal of money. strange and very uncomfortable. It will be more comfortable to pay when you check in. Our English is not excellent and because of this it took us half an hour to understand their whole system. Matthias at the reception incorrectly explained everything to us, interrupting me and overly emotional.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and even had our rooms ready earlier than expected. We went to Berlin for my dad's 60th and they left a little card and brownie in the room for him. Perfect location, great room, the apartments had everything you needed to cook meals and chill out. Location is great, just a short distance from the trains to get around Berlin very easy. The swimming Pool was lovely to go for a dip in the mornings and all new towels provided in the health suite.

Sauna was a little slow in heating but don't think that reflected the hotel at all.

Really nice little apartment with great facilities in the apartment itself and generally in the hotel. Staff were fantastic and sorted out everything we asked for without issue. Attached bar was a nice place to sit with a quiet drink as well. Very much recommended, we're now looking at other places with the same chain in other cities in Europe!

No gluten free options were marked on the menu in the attached bar, but to be fair, we didn't ask either, so there may have been something available (this actually seemed to be a general issue with restaurants in Berlin, not specifically just with the hotel)
