Hotel Mariahilf München

This hotel is a 20 minute walk to the city center. The staff were very accommodating, and we were able to check in a little earlier than previously indicated to the staff. There was a little hiccup upon check in with another person's luggage in our already cleaned room, but the staff promptly addressed the issue. Breakfast was included in the price of nightly rate, and included a typical, yet delicious Bavarian breakfast. For breakfast, there was an assortment of fresh fruit, yougurt, freshly baked rolls/pretzels, deli meats and cheeses, and coffee and tea. This breakfast left us very full well into midday. Hotel is very quiet, and we went during Oktoberfest. We excpected a louder neighborbood due to the fest, however, we were surprised at how quiet the hotel and neighborhood were. Yes, the wooden stairs are loud when walked on, however, this did not bother us.

The bed was not as comfortable as mine at home, but the excitement of being on vacation and in a new place quickly erased the minor discomfort I experience from the mattress.

The people running the place were so nice. I loved their dogs. The room was spacious and inviting. Our patio was great. There’s a really nice restaurant/Biergarten nearby.

We had a room for three people during Oktoberfest. We only one key that you had to use to lock and unlock the door from inside and out. We knew that we would all be wanting to come and go at different times. The solution was to give us a second fob to enter the building and hide the room key. Knowing it is a three person room, there should have been a key for everyone listed especially since we were paying higher Oktoberfest prices for the room. Breakfast could also have a few more vegan options. At the very least, a plant based milk to make cereal.

The location was amazing. It's very close to the German Museum and the city centre, but not crowded or noisy. There are some nice restaurants near the hotel and there is a market. I liked the breakfast very much, although it wasn't that varied, but there was everything you need: eggs, cheese, ham, toast, yoghurt, cereals, etc. Very nice and friendly stuff too. I really liked the fact that it was a family hotel. The room was clean and the hotel in general is really nice. The rooms and dining room have a really nice old feel.

The Wi-Fi worked poorly, but that's all I can really say about it. Also, there's a church next to the hotel, so it's probably better to wear earplugs or close the window. Otherwise, the night was very quiet.

This was a really charming hotel, it’s an older building but the staff makes sure it’s comfortable and clean. Felt like I was staying at the Dragonfly Inn from Gilmore Girls! It’s not in the center but only a 20 min walk from old town. There’s also a cute patio in the back

The Wi-Fi was very sporadic which isn’t the best if you plan on relying on it for work or anything. The breakfast was okay

The hotel is in the location where I want to be for work. It is also within walking distance of the city center. The bus line was also very handy. The reception was very helpful both by email before arrival and after arrival. The breakfast was OK. Everything went smoothly. Thank you.

The room and facilities met my expectations. But my expectations were not too high. For example, I guessed that the toilet would be small. (It was small.)

Small and cute hotel in a quiet area, relatively close to the city center. Metro station in 5-10 min walk. Adequate variety in breakfast. Polite reception.

There was no lift available, only stairs. The wi-fi connection inside my room was bad, outside and in the lobby it was ok. No heated meals (like omelet) in breakfast, only boiled eggs.

Very cozy hotel. A bit old school, but with a lot of charme, for which it was great! The breakfast room and breakfast was amazing and the staff was lovely. It was much nicer than what I expected from the pictures.

There is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, inform the staff in advance to avoid getting a room on the last floor.

The location was great!

It was difficult to get multiple devices onto the wifi. Only one "voucher" was provided in the late check-in envelope. No staff on duty to answer questions after 5pm. I was unable to get on-line with my laptop after I had used the voucher for Wifi for my phone and no one was on hand to give me more vouchers to get my laptop on-line until the am. This was very frustrating as I had work to do that evening before my conference started the next day.

Individual attention from the owner Maria to every client. Very cosy, clean and neat place. An old family hotel with a rich history. I truly value these hidden gems. Not easy to find.

More clients need to know about that great place. But, well, if everybody knows, then it will probably not be a hidden gem.

Super convenient location within walking distance to the center and Deutsche Museum. Close to Isar. Really friendly staff with cute guard dogs. The room was compact but functional with a nice bathroom.

The pillows were quite large, as usual in many hotels. Also the duvets were too thick. The night light didn't work.
