Super 8 by Wyndham Munich City West

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Location was easy to get to with the S-line train

The room was too hot at night and we couldn't cool it down. I suspect this is due to conserving energy which I understand.

- Staff was ok. Were not able to provide any information on restaurants and excursions but they were polite. - Location is a 6' walk from Lime train station and another 10' ride till central Munich. 5' walk from the hotel is a very nice bakery! - Room was very clean, bravo to the housekeeping team!

- They dont have double beds, twins for us were not very comfortable. - Room is very small but ok for a 2night stay.

This was a very good budget base to see Munich,just a few stops from the centre and the S bahn just 5 minutes walk away.It took 20-30 minutes to get into the centre with a choice of many direct lines.Laim is the nearest station and this is convenient if you wish to visit Dachau which is 4 stops in the opposite direction. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

If you decide not to have the hotel breakfast the options to pick up coffee,breakfast or a picnic near the hotel are very limited as are places to eat in the evening.However this is a very minor quibble as all if this was available at the central stations which are very close and we could make a coffee at the hotel.

Staff was good and always in a good mood.

Everything was good exept for the door to the bathroom. If you are staying two persons in one room, which my almost adult children did, you can hear what the person is doing inside the bathroom (wc) but they "survived"..! It should be free parking in the basement and not 15 euro's pr night. The wi-fi was very poor/bad. Testing it: Download 0,03 MB/s Upload wouldn't start the first time but the second time it was 0,02 MB/s. Sad because they are using Ubiquity Unifi AP's which is state of art access points!

The room is spotless and perfect for solo travelers coming for a business-related trip. The bed is comfy, and the breakfast is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Although most of the staff was excellent and super friendly, the overall impression was spoiled by a person with whom I communicated. I communicated with the hotel staff in English (since my German is limited), and everything went great except for this girl. I think she can say some phrases in English (so you get the illusion that she understands you but doesn’t). She gave me something wrong instead of the invoice (I noticed it too late) and could not answer a basic question. She doesn’t really understand English, just pretends to. That spoiled my impression of the hotel a bit.

Although the room was small, we spent really good time here. Everyday they changed our towels, cleaned our trash bins, provided toilet paper etc. Beds were very comfortable for us, we really enjoyed our stay there. On TV, we watched interesting German shows etc. Their breakfast was also pretty great. We had it almost every single day.

For two nights, it was cold in our room and although I used the AC, it didn't heat the room. Maybe it was closed centerally or something, but luckily I had warm clothes, so the room temperature didn't make me sad.

The hotel is 5 mins walk from Laim S-Bahnhof, with communter trains every 2-3 mins to downtown Munich. Train every 20 mins to Munich airport, ideal for travellers who want to catch the morning flight. The hotel is clean, room is comfortable and offers very good quality for the price.

No fridge in room. There is a cafe 5 mins from the hotel, but it takes about 10 mins by foot to reach the shops and supermarkets in Laim.

We initially came here as the prices were very reasonable, so to be honest we were not expecting much but it was exceeding our expectations! We arrived very early for check in due to an early flight, but the hotel were so nice and accomodating ! The rooms were simple, but had everything we needed and were very clean! a short walk to the underground station we had us to central Munich (and pretty much everywhere else) within 30 mins. We would definatly stay here again if we return to Munich.

We didn't have anything we didn't like.

You can have breakfast in a wonderful atrium with trees right next to the buffet. The selection of food is sufficient. The air conditioning worked perfectly fine and the bathroom was, like the rest, really clean.

In my opinion 12€ for this breakfast are a bit too much. More like 6-8€- in that case we would've taken our advantage more often. The location was not that good. We got a room next to the federal road, so it was loud when the window was open. Bathroom and the rest were really clean and high quality. There were no wardrobes so our staff had to stay in the suitcases.
