Beautiful view from rooms and terrace

smoking was allowed on the terrace. One smoker ruined it for everybody else. there should be a smoking area out in the parking lot area. It is insane that they allow a beautiful place like that to be compromised by someone who smokes

The hotel is very beautiful. We were in the new addition with a balcony and a wonderful view of the river. We did not use the spa area or the pool but I did take a look at the area and it was very nice. We saw lots of other guests using the area. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. The view from the restaurant windows was amazing. Food is the Bistro Cafe was also very good. We arrived just 5 minutes before the kitchen closed, but they were very nice.

While the main restaurant was open later, the kitchen at the Bistro Cafe closed at 6 pm. We arrived at 5:55 and it was no problem getting our food. Parking was tight but adequate

Took the train - 1 stop past the town where the hotel is located in order to get a taxi there. The hotel is in top of a big hill and walking up with suitcases was not doable. It was easy to tour from there. The town was wonderful. The hotel view was unparalleled!! Touring the ruins right there was excellent. The dining was great.

Transportation was tricky and we didn't get many options from the hotel staff. Once we figured it out, we did ok. The rooms are not equipped with A/C but the staff helped a lot with fans.

The hotel's location and scenery is awesome. My daughter wanted to stay in a castle hotel and this property is exactly what she was looking for. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful and the restaurant staffs were great. Even we didn't make a reservation for dinner, the staff suggested to me and my wife that we can have a drink in the restaurant and enjoy the view if we like. We took her suggestion and enjoyed a couple glass of local white wine looking out the beauty of the area. It was wonderful and highlight of our 2 weeks trip in the Germany area.

The location is superb because it’s very convenient by all modes of transporting and you need a car to enjoy the area. Breakfast is exceptional with a multitude of choices. Staff is 5-star from storing my luggage after I checked out to coordinating laundry on short notice, and sending my luggage by taxi to the train station. True examples of the best in customer service.

The villas have thin walls and it can be noisy. I think the guests above me were a small herd of ponies!

This is a beautiful castle turned into a hotel. Very clean, large room, mini frig, updated. Staff went above and beyond to help us with arrangements. Pool, wellness center. Workout room is a kick (check it out). Awesome views. On-site restaurant overlooking the Rhine, excellent food. Quiet.

It's a long walk up from the ferry - not for the faint hearted. The walking path is not well maintained and is slippery/steep in some places - use the sidewalk by the road instead. The castle is not near anything else, so if you don't plan a dinner reservation in advance or need something at the store you have to walk down into town (and then back up again). We were never able to walk around the castle ruins because the hours were so restrictive and we only stayed one night.

The view and proximity to other sites and old towns and vineyards. Nice to spend day and not go anywhere too. Dinner at restaurant was amazing, and like the terrace restaurant too for a drink with a view or nice coffee and cake in evenings

Would be nice if there were more sun chairs, but if you did get one it was wonderful sitting in garden.

View from room is fantastic. Staff very friendly and professional. Superb breakfast. Excellent dinner with fine wine. Comfortable bed and room refreshed daily.

Shower over bath not good these days. Should have separate walk-in shower in a room costing as much as this. Climbing into the bath for someone with a spine problem is not good. Bath was slippery and no anti-slip mat provided.

Great location with outstanding views over the Rhine. Excellent food in the restaurant. Friendly and very helpful staff.

Many insects flew into our room at night when we opened the windows, including several wasps and a very large hornet. Although we were able to get rid of them, we had to close the windows, so the room was very hot during the night. The beds did have insect netting to cover them, so this is obviously a regular issue. Perhaps it would be better to put screens on the windows?

Great location, views over the river Rhine. Chocolates and water in the room, great breakfast with lots of choice.

We were unable to visit the castle during our stay as they were setting up for a festival in the castle grounds. We were not told at check-in that access would not be available, so was very disappointed to find out the following morning that we could not go look around. Had we have known this, we would have gone to look around it the day before.
