Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre, an IHG Hotel

The large room was well appointed, the AC cooling, and sleep quality were excellent. I loved that that had Grohe fittings, Apotheke products and a Philips hairdryer in the bathroom. The view was good too. The wifi was good enough to do a work meeting over video. The breakfast buffet at Mosaic was superb. A great spread of Indian as well as continental. The sausages were tasty, sautéed corn yum, wada was crisp and fluffy without being oily, the fruit compotes and mango custard were really delicious. On the minus side, the dhokla was slightly dry and I would've liked baked beans on my plate too. Even their a la carte was well crafted, with authentic ingredients (Thai curry was rich with kafir lime and galangal) and the tiny mango & cardamom creme brulée had the perfect 'crackle' on the caramelised sugar. The in-room dining was quick and tasty. The reception team was hospitable and most kindly gave us a late check out. We enjoyed our stay (although the pool, lifts and the rooftop bar seemed like they could be better maintained) and would definitely recommend for business travellers or staycays on a budget.

Breakfast had a lot of variety, in both veg and non veg. Excellent breakfast. Staff was really helpful and friendly, the roof top bar had great ambience. Bathroom (my biggest concern while booking room) was really clean and had great shower.

Non veg part needed a bit of improvement (bacon, sausages were a bit dry and burnt, fish stew was at best leukwarm). Room didn't have hair dryer and iron (although was readily provided by staff)

Excellent hotel with big rooms, well equiped at fair prices. There's a great and big fitness room as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The room service is excellent (food, laundry etc...). We recommend also the hotel restaurant which served us tasty breakfasts (buffet) and excellent dinners (card or buffet). Our Indian friends also agreed the cuisine was excellent. There's also a sky lounge bar and night club at the top of the hotel where you can find good drinks and starters at reasonable prices. The early birds shall not worry of the noise or troubles during the night: the rooms remain very quite.

Few light traces/stains on some sheets and towels; that was not a big issue for us but rather unexpected for a 5 stars hotel.

The property location was amazing. The staff was extremely professional and courteous and the room was comfortable.

I must admit the room supplies such as towels and sheets could do with some new stock. And the fitness center needs some serious refurbishment both in terms of putting more treadmills, and barbells along with bench. I am an avid fitness enthusiast and I could not use it.

The location was proper but the spread was limited and repeated, more importantly the preparations were not up to the mark . Expected better. The staff in the breakfast zone however was very good

All Gujarathi preparations were below ordinary mark . Simple regular tea could have been better, seemed like a lot of recycled tea leaves were used ( even by 9.30 am?). No vegetable juices or health drinks.

Staff were polite, helpful and friendly.

The WiFi did not work on the day of departure on my laptop. Only one hand towel, only one toothbrush and only one pair of slippers were kept in the room for two guests. Two bath towels and two water bottles were kept. That was good. The glass door at the shower was rickety.

The room size could be a little bigger with some proper space especially for suitcase which are more than one with a family. Also the pool was very small even for a younger child to swim.

1.Intercom was not working and room was changed.The curtain in washroom of changed room was not proper.Despite repeated request it couldn’t improved.Frustrated to learn that it cannot be done. 2.My request of early check in denied and had to book room in other hotel paying huge amount unnecessarily.

The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was also well-equipped and had many conveniences including ironing board and iron. Both the buffet lunch and breakfast had variety and the food was good.

I got plant-based toiletries and they had a rather unpleasant aroma.

location was great for the purpose of my trip. I loved the South Indian fare at the breakfast buffet!

I think the facility and particularly the rooms were a bit run down and could do with some uplift. wish there was more local fare on offer at the breakfast buffet.
