Akaya Bali

This is a beautiful little haven in Sanur, with a score or so beautifully designed rooms around a gorgeous little - deep - pool. Everything was thoughtfully designed, to the plants on each balcony which were both lovely to look at, and a green screen to the next room. The staff were absolutely lovely. Breakfast is at the adjacent cafe property, and it was excellent

The Anaya is attached to a dive centre, and three times in the afternoon over the six days I was there, the pool was out of action due to dive training. There was no notice for when this was going to happen, and it nor was it flagged up at check in. We were not told per se we could not get in the pool, but the reality is, when five or six people are dive training in a small pool, you are not going to be able to swim lengths, and you would also feel you were disturbing the lesson. I imagine that as the season gets busier, the number of dive training sessions in the pool will increase.

The location is good, 10 min walk to the beach, shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet nights and nice Akaya Cafe for breakfast. Complimentary water bottles (with refill option).

Cleaning could have been better: the room floor was not very clean and there was dust under the beds. Also some of the towels were grey and worn. Saw also some bed bugs.

everything! it is such a quaint little place, friendliest of staff, extra clean, comfy bed and pillows, cold ac, hot shower with nice pressure. excellent breakfast and great location to good restaurants, gym, coffee shops

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent and the best choices we had during our 3 week trip around Bali. We stayed in Sanur for a night before our flight back home. It was an excellent place for last-minute souvenir shopping, especially the gift shop across the road which sells quality gifts at very reasonable prices (set prices)

Excellent location, set back from the road and very quiet. It was spotless and the staff were always helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The towels smelt beautifully fresh and there were lovely smelling toiletries available in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows perfect. I didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

Nothing at all to dislike, we loved it. I guess my only comment would be that it would have been nice to have somewhere to put the cases. The room was smaller than I’d anticipated from the pictures but still loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return

When a hotel has such a high rating on booking, it is difficult to live up to the expectation but the people at Akaya actually are worth more than a 10! Comfortable room, very good bed, good amanities, very nice breakfast, enviting pool area and the most amazing people. They were so nice with our daughter and overall super friendly and hospitable. Location very central: gym/yoga/massage within 2-3 minutes walking, beach 5 minutes, night market 15 minutes. Food at Akaya café is really good. Would definitely recommend!

Not a deal braker but almost all pillows in the room were very thick, hard to sleep on. I forgot to ask for another one, they will probably have them!

I liked everything about this place! The facilities were so clean, the breakfast was exceptional and the staff were very kind and professional. I would rate the staff as 10/10 because when I got sick from food poisoning (from a restaurant I ate at), the staff were very quick to get me a doctor and they also helped me to cope with the illness and made me some nice drinks to help me feel better. I can truly say I was looked after here and I highly recommend anyone coming to this part of Bali to stay in this hotel. It is also very family friendly. All rooms also had air conditioning which was fantastic! I also liked how the hotel organised a private driver for us to take us to the hotel from the airport and vice versa. The location of the hotel is excellent. You are nearby many shops and restaurants, and also the beach which is a 2 - 5 min walk across the road! I will come back here again. I also recommended my own parents to come back here!

What a gem in Sanur. Great location next to the shops Spa restaurants, laundry service. They own restaurant has a great breakfast , especially the beetroot sourdough bred. They have a wonderful Dive centre professionally equipped with a whild range of dive equipment for purchase and rent. The swimming pool was clean and good size to swim. There are possibilities to eat your meals by the pool. The staff members were accommodating and professional. I asked for the scales to weight my suitcase and my request was honoured. I definitely will be back, and I recommend this hotel to the ones who would like to have uncomplicated travel with comfort and reasonable price.

Very clean, rooms have everything you need, fridge and complimentary water tea and coffee. They leave you a plate of fresh fruit in the room. Refillable shampoo/conditioner and wash from a local company (sensation botanicals) worth the upgrade to a balcony room in my opinion. Staff very approachable and helpful. Great breakfast

We stayed twice during our trip, the first time we accidentally took the little laundry bag with our clothing from the wardrobe, you would think we had committed a major crime, they called and txt us to ask for it back! We returned it when we went back the following week, also as an eco hotel they could do away with the paper breakfast request as it turns out the menu is the same as in the little restaurant on site. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.

The staff were gorgeous, both in the hotel & Cafe out the front. The pool, room and huge lounge area upstairs were all beautiful. It was so good to be able to fill up our water bottles from their filtered water machine whenever we wanted. Booking in & out was easy, they looked after our bags for a couple of hours. The coffee from their Cafe was the best in Bali & even had oat milk. The food was great too. Great location with a beach cut-through very close by.

At night you can hear noise from a nightclub, but it quietened down around 11pm. The bed was a bit on the firm side for us.
