Bumi Ayu Bungalow Sanur

Great location, centrally located down a gang off Jl. Danau Tamblingan (for directional purposes the gang runs down beside the Uluwatu Lace store). It’s a very short stroll to Jl. Danau Tamblingan which offers an abundance of shopping & dining with access to the beach via the many laneways. We stayed in room 23, a deluxe ground floor room which was exceptionally quiet, comfortable & larger than expected, with a nice terrace overlooking a garden, the air conditioning was quiet & efficient. WIFI in our room was strong, there is a small bar fridge & is furnished in Balinese decor. The pool is located in the centre of the hotel grounds with easy access from any room & was very clean. The staff are wonderful, very friendly & happy to assist. For the price this hotel offers value for money whilst being central & quiet

The bathroom was a little tired but functional, the shower is located over the bath tub & not a stand alone which should be noted if mobility is an issue. Bathrooms could do with some renovation.

This is a beautiful old hotel, representing value for money. Great location , with a 5 min stroll to main street Sanur and yet extremely quiet. Typical old style Balinese gardens and a great pool. It's not modern and facilities are a little dated....but if you want a place that is welcoming( staff are awesome) and feels like you belong from day one, then book here. I'm a little biased...I've been here 6x times ( been coming to Bali for 40 years, so have been all over the island)

Old school Bali property, lovely staff, management moved us instantly when we requested to be closer to the excellent pool Breakfast waitress was brilliant!!

wifi is hit and miss better closer to the pool area or outside your room

Spent our last couple of days here, location is good as can do shopping, also not too far to walk to the beach. Loved the pool which is sizeable and designed to meet different needs - beware the sharp edges of the tiles in some sections though. Loved the rooms being secluded in the wonderful gardens, our beds were well made with good quality linens, a bit firm but comfortable. Nice bathroom with bath and shower. Dining area is large and airy and has a really nice feel about it - any food we had was really lovely.

I've been coming to Bumi Ayu for over 15 years. It's a serene old style resort set in a beautifully designed garden. It's quiet and classy. Villas and Bungalows are quiet and tastefully furnished. Perfect place after a long day diving or at the beach

We were very happy with the location of the hotel. It was very close to local warungs & shops. The pool was big with lots of lounge seats available. Breakfast was a choice between American or continental & there was some good options. The room was very clean & bed was comfortable with a lovely outside area to sit facing the garden

Breakfest was 3 options type, i chosed continental. Size ok not for big eaters thou. Added extra milkshake few times. Pool area good, restaurant ok, room ok, not very clean but i would say ok. Garden and forest look through facilities was nice :) They have even tried to make this place unobstructed, not quite there yet but thanks for trying.

They didnt allow to put hammock between two trees for reason i didnt quite understood. Maybe they think that some broke surfer guys are sleepin there without payment or that we are gonna start camping or something like that. No we dont, just relaxing in hammock between two trees, nothing more, no harm done.

A beautiful oasis in the middle of busy Sanur. A gracious, older style hotel with wonderful ambiance and flair. The bungalows are comfortable, roomy and clean Our included breakfast was delightful and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The bungalows are set in beautiful gardens. A shared covered communal area and bar near the pool creates opportunities for people to meet up ,swap books and relax in the shade. The pools are great and there are plenty of lounge chairs. The office staff were very helpful and our checkin was great. Thank you for your efforts.

Whilst the construction of the new mall is going on, it is a bit of a walk to the beach. However taxis are cheap and walking about is one of the delights of Sanur so its not really that much of a problem.

Little gem tucked away 400mt from main street very quiet location nice pool and rooms traditional balenese.

Although previous reviews give breakfast good reviews,I found it was a little light on portion sizes but the coffee is good!

I liked the peace and tranquility. The gardens are lovely. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was a very short walk to the beach.

The pool was closed at 7.00 pm due to the chemicals. Sometimes I like to have a quiet swim a bit later. It would be good if they did the chemicals at 9.00. Also I did have to rinse off in the outdoor shower when I got out of the pool as I found the chemicals were itchy on my skin. Fine once rinsed off though and it was a lovely pool to swim at a beautiful temperature. Breakfast was fine and you can have it brought to the library/garden area which was just lovely.
