Suparsa's Homestay

The homestay was nice with few rooms and small swimming pool with tropical plants around it(looked great). It is very close to the main shopping area and restaurants in Ubud. Most nights we walked back to the homestay quite late and it dint feel lonely or unsafe even though the road is a bit quiet/dark at night. The temple just a few houses away from the stay have the kecak and fire dance on couple of days a week(got the tickets from homestay) which was very nice and should not be missed. Also the massage place in the homestay is small and hidden, but the person who did the massage was brilliant. Best back massage i got in Bali.

The bathroom ceiling needs repair, although the bathroom was not too bad, but it was not too clean either. The wifi dint work very well all the time. The breakfast is ok, but we stayed there 4 days and got tired of having same stuff. Probably needs a bit more options. Also the room has a couple of small frosted glass openings which cannot be covered and light comes into the room very early in the morning(5am)

Beautiful and cosy home stay with excellent service. We received cold water when we arrived and when we were leaving, which was a very nice touch. Tea/coffee provided on your terrace table with regular refill of hot water in private thermos bottle. Nice breakfast served daily to your room. The staff serving breakfast was super nice and friendly. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and are spotless. Good air con.

On the first day of our stay had an issue with Wifi and I had to work remotely. Had to connect to other room wifi, which only worked on the terrace. I asked the owner to try to see what is the problem but they could not fix the issue that day and I was told by the owners’ son that is not as easy to fix it as in Europe. It got me stressed a bit as I had to work from there for another couple of days. Luckily wifi worked well with no issue in the following days.

We loved every bit of our stay in Suparsa and the host family. The room was comfortable and the shower had hot water. The accommodation itself was managed well and really gave us the authentic Balinese experience. Location was close by to delicious eats and shops for souvenirs. Only a 10 minute walk to the Royal Ubud Palace, which is also not far from Saraswati Temple. We made friends with the host and he kindly provided us a great tour north and west of Bali for a reasonable price. We learned so much about Balinese culture from the host and his family. We also availed airport shuttle with the host and he happily provided the service for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

the best thing were the people who are managing the property. very humble and trying their best to ensure guest comfort. it’s in a peaceful bye lane and just 5-7 minutes walk from Main Ubud Market. We were a family of four so booked two rooms. if you are thinking of putting an extra cot, that won’t be possible but then the prices are so affordable why would you. Breakfast was included in our plan and it was very well presented and made. we are vegetarians so enjoyed fruits and eggless pancakes. Another major plus point is their in-house scooter rental and local sightseeing services via private car. So we didn’t have to search around for anything. And they guide you properly and even can customise as per your requirements. I won’t say it’s a value for money, it’s definitely more that that. and remember you are staying in a very reasonably priced Homestay and not a luxury property by paying 10x or even more

Quiet, clean - Very efficient friendly service - Reasonably priced - Free airport transfer (provided by booking.com) - Comfortable bed with mosquito net (there were no mosquitos when we were there) - Excellent shower with limitless hot water, powerful pressure, ventilation fan & wash basin tap has hot water too - Good thick towels changed frequently - Air conditioning - Lockable wardrobe - Free tea/coffee with flasks of hot water provided twice daily on the balcony just outside your room - Conveniently-placed "water-coolers" where you can refill your drinking water whenever you want - Suparsa's road has some good warungs & cafés a short walk away, e.g. Seniman, and a number of scooter rental shops (Suparsa also rents out its own scooters, we took their biggest one for 150,000 IDR / day).

Some very minor issues, but this is just nitpicking as overall our stay was excellent: - The walk to/from Ubud's busy main road was a little farther than we would have liked and on a slight slope, so sometimes a bit of a slog at the end of a day's sightseeing. This is not an issue if/when you end up hiring a scooter. - No fridge in the room (some might prefer this, as fridges can be noisy). - Frosted-glass lightwells on the wall let in quite a lot of light into the room in the early morning with no way of covering them up. - Squeaky cupboard doors. - A slightly bigger room with a bit more privacy on the balcony would have been great, but for the price it's reasonable.

Environment is good. Staffs friendly and we get to experience staying at balinese house. Location was good. It is near to eateries and souvenir shops. Suparsa place is quiet at night. Breakfast although simple but very generous with the portion. Recommend the pancake and papaya juice. Constructive feedback is that kitchen staff should wash egg shell before making boiled eggs. Room was cleaned on daily basis. Star gazing by the pool was a wonderful experience.

The pillow which was used to decorate the bed has a very strong smell. Probably not sun for a period of time. Do take note of the shower temperature when adjusting as it was not installed according to common standard, ie if the head was pointing towards the floor, rightly it should be normal temperature. However, the water temperature was quite hot. Pool tiles grout looked not very clean eventhough pool water was very clean.

Staff in the spa need to start checking messages on their Instagram account when customers try and contact them Their What's App number is not advertised on their Google profile so customers cannot message them if they don't have the number beforehand

Owners and staff are super friendly and kind. Always attending to our needs. Place is clean, comfortable and quiet (a must in busy Ubud!) and has good facilities. Breakfast is really tasty, including fruits. Extremely well located and will arrange local tours at reasonable price. I recommend arranging pick up from airport with them. Don’t forget to relax in the pool! :)

I would suggest they change the company they work with to take their guests to Gili T. We had an awful experience with Inami. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Suparsa's Homestay is a fabulous little stay with an ideal location in the heart of Ubud. I spent the majority of my trip to Bali in Ubud and the location of the homestay made it so easy to get wherever I needed to be! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help me navigate the island. I chose to book tours with the Homestay and all of them were lovely experiences enabling me to see all the sights I hoped to see on the beautiful island of Bali!

I stayed 7 nights at this quaint homestay, located at a 5-10 minutes walk from the main street. Although room assigned was on the second floor, family was very kind to help bring my luggages during check in late at night. Room was cosy and cleaned on a daily basis. Breakfast was prepared daily (you can indicate your preferred timing i.e. 0800-1000) and delivered to the balcony in front of your room. I loved the cheese omelette and papaya juice, would recommend! They also have coffee/tea at the balcony which you can help yourselves. AC works very well and easily one of the fastest WiFi in Bali you can find. Most importantly, owners and his family are very friendly and welcoming! So if you're planning to stay in Ubud, I would definitely recommend to choose this homestay!
