Hotel Flora

The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the interior and exterior were immaculately clean, thanks to the hard-working housekeeping staff. Our room (20) was spacious, with a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. There was plenty of choice at breakfast to suit all tastes - the pastries were particularly good!

There was no shower curtain or screen over the bath , so the floor got flooded every time we had a shower. Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic noise from the busy road going past the hotel. We were surprised to find that dogs (usually of the yapping kind) were allowed in the bedrooms and breakfast room.

The staff were very helpful in correspondence prior to our arrival (train delays) then most welcoming and professional. We had a stunning room with views over the lake, so good we stayed up for a nightcap on the balcony to enjoy the evening lights. Breakfast was excellent. The location was very good, about 10 mins walk from the station - easily handled even with baggage - and it was a short walk down the hill to one of the boat stations to the islands, and a lovely waterfront promenade into Stresa's shopping area.

Beautiful lake view from our balcony and very comfortable. They provide a nice breakfast. It’s about a 25 minute walk to town which is a pleasant walk but can be a bit much to do a couple times a day- hard to get inspired to go back to town for dinner. We needed help getting our air conditioning set right and the man at the desk came up and was very testy about it - maybe he had all the tourists he could take by this time of year! The free parking was a big plus!

Needed a shower curtain

The hotel is situated very close the shore of the lake, nice and quite area, easy accessible by car or other means of transportation. Rooms are cozy and comfortable, we had a lake view with a balcony, very nice. Services in the hotel are good and staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is reach and offers variety of food and drinks. The pool is well maintained and the area around the pool is pretty relaxing, with sun beds and umbrellas.

The only comment I'd have is a small parking place, but if it gets busy, the hotel is offering a parking place at the walking distance.

The cleanliness, the staff and the food were exceptional

When we arrived in Stresa station google maps said we had a 7 min walk to the . property. However we didn’t realise it was a very busy road with no paths which was extremely dangerous to walk to the hotel

Spacious and renovated room, comfortable facilities, Amazing view of the lake and islands from the balcony that was in the room, Good location, 10 minutes walk from the center of Stresa, convenient and accessible parking, Elevator from the parking lot to all floors, Good breakfast, the staff in the dining room was courteous and helpful with a willingness to help!

Only stated for one night but the hotel made a great impression, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bed in our lake view room was extremely comfortable. Great choice on offer for breakfast overseen by friendly staff.

There is some traffic noise, particularly when outside around the pool area, but this didn't spoil our experience.

Breakfast was hearty and delicious with many selections. Loved that it was served earlier - perfect for those who wanted to do the Borromean islands at 9 am. This hotel is in Carciano, about a 15 minute beautiful walk by the lake to Stresa. One can take the ferry to the Borromean islands from here, just a 4 minute walk from the hotel. The views in our 3rd floor room facing the lake were fantastic, especially when in its balcony. Comfortable accommodation with million dollar views.

The reception and common areas are updated and inviting. The room, however, can use some updating with change in curtains, bedspread and furniture. Other than these, the hotel is excellent.

Our room was located to the side of the hotel with a south westerly view across Lake Maggiore, absolutely stunning. The breakfast was continental style with a wide selection to choose from and to suit every taste - I loved it. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from Stresa town centre however it was a pleasure to walk to take in the views of the lake all the way in.
