Hotel Nimma

Very nice rooms with beautiful design and comfortable beds. The breakfast was rich and good. Bike rental just next to the hotel. Friendly staff.

Hotel is quite far away from the city center (about 20 min. by foot) so its useful to book a bike there. Scince the Hotel officially opens from 11, I had problems to get in contact with the reception during the stay, but the breakfast staff did their best to answer my questions. The air condition is controlled by the hotel and was very cold. To change the temperature you have to go to the reception.

The beds were comfortable and being able to charge the electric car at the hotel for free was a bonus for us.

We were told we could pay the breakfast on the day but it turned out we had to pre-book the night before. However, the main shopping area was about 5-10 minutes drive away and we found a very good cafe for breakfast. We also found the air-conditioning in the room very cold and could not adjust the temperature; it turned out we had to go the reception to change the temperature for us. Nevertheless, we had a good stay and would definitely return to the hotel in future.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, much larger than the one I had before in Nimma; I asked for a silent room and it was very silent so I had a wonderful night of sleep. The bed was perfect to me. There was also a water cooker in the room and all kinds of tea were provided, very convenient. And the breakfast was not abundant but there was sure enough choice to me with a.o. delicious chocolate croissants. The restaurant also has a very nice and interesting beer menu. The staff of the hotel is very kind, polite and helpful. I felt very welcome.

The only thing I can think about is the mirror position in the bathroom. Because I am only 1.63 m, I only can see my chin and upwards in the mirror. But there is second mirror in the room, where you can see yourself completely!

Hotel room was brilliant. It was aesthetically pleasing. TV was large. Bed was luxurious. Complimentary tea was delicious. There was plenty of natural light too. Staff was pleasant, efficient and cordial.

It wasn't really walking distance to anything and the exterior of the building can only really be described as an imposing concrete cube. This is the Netherlands though so it's plenty doable with a bike and a bus goes very frequently.

A short taxi into Town. A very funky vibe to the hotel. Gave me a deal on the breakfast which included scrambled egg, bacon and sausages. Also let the three of us stay in what they state is their larger 6 person room ( ie 2 X singles, 2 X bunks, Sofa Bess) so it was a good size.

For the money, can't fault it if you want to see Nijmegen.

Hotel has ideal location (near city center, next to river, close to highway.)Free parking. Outside of the hotel is sort of boring but inside cool design;. Lobby area is great place to work and to socialize. Same applies to rooms. Our room comfortably fits 4 persons. Up to 6 works fine too. We will Definitely stay again at Nimma. Friendly staff. Nice terras outside

Traffic of “oversteek” bridge very near to Hotel. May be perceived as disturbing. Restaurant serves good food and hip place to eat. Pricing on high side though. Suggestion is to offer at least one menu item in eur 10-15 range, (Nimma burger? ). In rooms only one window can be opened -> Guests may feel a bit “locked-up”; lack of fresh air. Roof terrace really nice but it was’nt opened which we found a shame

Room was very nice and spacious. We had really nice view over the nice landscape. Room was like in the pictures and the downstairs restaurant looked very cozy, I was staying in an apartment and had a kitchen so, I didn't used the restaurant though. Only for drinks which were decent priced. Location was a good but a bit too far for me since I had to go to UNI but if you're staying in for a longer than few nights in Nijmegen, it has really nice neighbourhood for a walk and exploring Dutch architecture. You walk to the city centre in 15 mins. Staff was super nice, friendly an helpful. Great atmosphere overall and everyone I spoke with had great English skills. And even though I stayed with a Dutch, staff continued speaking in English when I was around.

Even though the room was nice, I was able to hear people from the hall and I don't think that gave a really good impression of privacy - it used to be a factory (I guess) so, that explains it quite well. Nearest grocery store was a bit too far, so when you spend your day in the city centre do your groceries there before coming back.

Breakfast buffet was tasty with good selection, very good value. Reception staff very helpful, called us a taxi.

Location fair- long distance from town centre-perhaps a good map/ directions could be supplied, details about buses. I think hairdryers should be supplied in rooms rather than borrowing from Reception!

Personally i enjoyed the whole stay in Hotel Nimma, especially the breakfast and the fact that our room was so beautiful and comfortable. Also, the hotel crew was super friendly and also i enjoyed the decoration of the restaurant. Overall, if i ever come again to Nijemegen, I'll definetely book in Nimma

Great outdoor facilities, including play area for the kids. Loved that they had local Nijmegen beer on tap.

Some free TV channels not working, like Das Erste, ZDF, not a major issue but helpful for additional entertainment options when staying with young children.
