Hotel Oranjestaete

Spacious living area/kitchen. Well equipped kitchen, good selection of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery (except no peeler and no sharp knife for veggies). Coffee machine with coffee, cocoa and milk pods included. Friendly helpful staff.

Bedroom has one small cupboard and could do with more shelves, but no space (adding a cupboard to the spacious living room will help). Couch in living area is really uncomfortable. Shower cubicle is badly designed, has no back door/glass and only half a side glass. Water splashes every where. There is a black rubber squeegee that helps to clean up the water after showering. What a pity as the shower head itself is good.

Super clean, modern style, spacious, well equipped, fresh towels and tidy up each day. Well located in a townhouse on the OranjeSingel which is the ring road around the old town. A very comfortable base for bars, cafes and restaurants, good quality local supermarket. I made my own breakfast here each day with supplies from the high quality supermarket around the corner, was able to make a packed lunch for my sports competition at the kitchen counter, cook a couple or pasta meals to get my carbs for sports and went out to town at night. Wi-Fi reliable and fast. There is a comfortable terrace with canopies and a small honesty bar for the odd late night drink and snack. Lots of town bikes for guests to use including a couple of tandem bikes.

Great place. The appartement is very big and full equiped (dish washer, microwave, baking sheet, heating controler, many towels and toilet papers). Big balcony inclued. The is very welcoming, available and helpful. They smile a lot. There is lot of security (gate closed during the night, son oepn it with your room key). You can borrow bikes and umbrella if needed. The place is close from the old city center (5-10 minuts walk) and from the central train station (15 minuts walk).

The place is located on a big main road. You don't hear the noice from the window and you are two road appart from little downtown streets.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I booked it because of its location and free bikes offered to hotel guests. It is in the city centre (5-10 minutes walk to pedestrian areas with cafes and shops), and not to far from the Radboud University (15 minutes by bike) where I participated at the Summer School. Also, the price is quite reasonable for Dutch standards. Room was very clean with all necessary items for everyday needs (fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and spacious room). The room facilities were above my expectations and the bed was very comfortable. All hosts were very kind and helpful - they made me feel like at home.

The only inconvenience during my stay happened when clean-lady mistakenly took my personal towel together with hotel's towels and the hotel staff could not find my towel. However, I did not consider it a big deal, it could happen to anyone as the towels were very similar.

I wish I could give this place an 11 star review - it was absolutely perfect! The staff were lovely, there were free bikes available to use (very helpful!), and the room itself was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Kitchen facilities were excellent, and the shower felt very luxurious as well. I stayed here for a conference at Radboud University, and my colleagues stayed in a fancier hotel near the train station. The accomodation at Hotel Oranjestaete was FAR superior (and less expensive!).

We were in a cool apartment on the ground floor. A huge living room with sofas and a kitchen. The bedroom was separate and a decent size with it's own TV . The staff were brilliant. Jos came to let us in to the car park and as I have a mobility issue carried my suitcase up the back stairs to the ground floor. Jos then gave us a map and marked on it places of interest. We had a good nights sleep and Jos's young female colleague carried my bag out to the car for me. Marvellous young staff with impeccable English spoken.

I normally don't write reviews but I had an amazing stay at the oranjestaete. The room, size of the room, cleanliness was amazing. Very friendly check in service and the location is great. You can walk straight into the city within 2 minutes. I was attending a wedding in Nijmegen and the taxi we ordered didn't show up. The owner of the hotel was kind of enough to drop me himself for me to be on time at the wedding. Never experienced such great service. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is going to visit Nijmegen.

Excellent location right around the corner from supermarkets, restaurants, and close walking distance to the station and old city. Staff was great and room was really well stocked - great kitchen with everything we needed and really good quality, and lots of room for the baby in the room. Very comfortable, spacious for 1 room, and nice and clean. Amenities were really good and staff was always willing to help and super friendly. We had a great time.

Not much, it was a great stay! For those with a baby there are stairs out front, so you have to carry the baby stroller in and out, which is not a problem really, just something to be aware of.

Everything ! But the staff outstanding ! My hubby just had bicep surgery and I have balance problems and we were on the 4 th floor no elevator , but Teddy and Yuls took everything up for us ! We couldn’t have done without them and the day we left another wonderful staffer brought it all down , I didn’t get her name but God love her !

Great location at the edge of the inner city. Free bicycles make an easy commute to the university campus. The apartments are spacious and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Supermarket is just around the corner.

Our room was very noisy. The windows are good, but if you'd like to sleep with windows open, you better ask for a quiet room. The rooms out to the street are really very noisy because there's a lot of traffic going on.
