Sanadome Hotel & Spa Nijmegen

The Thermen was the main draw for us and as entry was included in the room rate it our stay more reasonable value for money. The staff were charming and the restaurant offered a nice evening meal and a good breakfast selection.

I’m not sure why they are listed as a ‘Fietsers Welkom’ hotel. There was nothing obviously cycling friendly about the hotel and (importantly for us) there was no secure undercover bicycle parking. The main hotel looked good but the room was looking a little tired in places (particularly the bathroom) and while there was a mini bar (extra charge) there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which was a surprise for a hotel charging as much as they do.

The location in the middle of the park is just great. The spa was big and clean (which was surprising having in mind the size of it and the amount of people visiting), the water in the pool was just right temperature. The sauna is a bit small but the steam room was spacious and we enjoyed it. The hotel itself is decorated simple and elegant. The room we had was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating at the reception, spa, restaurant - they all are doing an amazing job.

The breakfast wasn't wow but alright.

One of the only drawbacks is the massage. The therapist was not so well educated and did not treat us the way they should for the massages we asked. Therefore, it is not so easy to book a massage in advance through the phone, as you will never know the exact time this will take place, until you go there. English language is not available at the hotel. Everything is writter in english - same for the website. But this is managable.

We arrived having ignored all emails asking us to sign up for treatments in advance, the staff still did everything they could to get us as many options as possible (which turned out to be more than enough). Every treatment we tried was incredible. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The food at the location was really tasty (the dinner restaurant was super fancy and could have been nice for a special occasion). The heated outdoor pool was a very unique and fun experience. My father has some mobility issues and he had no troubles at all in the hotel or spa. The outside of the spa is very green and lush, we spent lots of time out there hanging out and drinking coffee.

Its a little busy on the weekend.

Its a really Nice location close to everything. The Spa is beautiful there is engough to try and see to fill a whole day. The best thing is that you can go from your room straight to the thermen

The breakfast was very underwhelming and not properly refilled. Warm foods were cold. There is only one elevator and it is really slow so sometimes you need to have some patience

We stayed at the Sanadome for the Four Days Marches of Nijmegen. We really enjoyed the hospitality and the atmosphere. The food was great, which is really helpful if you have to walk 50k a day ;).

Unfortunately our room was very hot, because it was situated at the southeast side of the hotel. There was no AC and the cooling could not quite cope with the record temperatures. It didn't help that the building basically is one big greenhouse.

the spa is pretty good, decent breakfast with all the basics, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was super nice!

they don't give shampoo and conditioner, there's just a liquid soap on the wall (like a hostel). for the type of hotel, I was really not expecting this! when I asked the reception, they manage to get me shampoo, but no conditioner. I thought that was super strange. besides that, breakfast was also quite basic.

The location was very nice, the food was great and the staff was very friendly. Nice environment around the hotel. Good, spacy room.

Almost everything (including the website) was only in Dutch, difficult to find info in English. The building itself is not in 100% shape, a bit worn.

the breakfast does not have vegan options. not even plant based milk. also we wanted a lazy check out since it was our wedding night and even though we asked in advance, we couldn’t have it

Room with balcony is very nice, super clean, with very good bed and space to add a bed for our daughter. Spa is excellent, expecially the pools with lavander and the pool outdoor. The garden outside is very beautiful, the right place to relax.

I did not like the cappuccino from the machine. A beautiful hotel like Sanadome should have proper espresso bar and provide a good cappuccino or coffee for breakfast.
