Very nice, comfortable, clean rooms (cleaning every day). Friendly staff. The restaurant is not just conveniently located under the pension, but also has a wonderful kitchen. We stayed there for four nights, and decided to eat there twice. Our other two choice were not that good as this one.

Be aware that this is a small village with very narrow strrets and not too many free parking places. Of course it's not the host's fault, just an advice. You can park on the market square (250 m) but on Thursdays and on the 3rd Sunday of the month there is a market so you have to move your car before the morning.

The stay at this hotel was extremely nice. The hotel is located very near to the Adraga beach, walking distance of 1.5km. There is a restaurant at the ground floor and 4-5 rooms on the first floor. The food the restaurant is also very good. There was a private washroom and shower in the room, and also a shared kitchen, where the breakfast was kept/served.

Although there was a kitchen, there was no hot plate but only microwave, and hence limited possibility of cooking. If you are traveling by bus, keep in mind the buses don't come on time, although the frequency is good.

We stayed for two weeks in Pensao Sisudo to work on our dissertations. It was a great time from the start. Maria (the host) and all staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small but cozy and there are nice common areas (both inside and outside) in which you can enjoy a tasty breakfast. Maybe the greatest pro is the amazing food served in the restaurant below both during lunch and dinner time. Its one of the best restaurants we stayed in Portugal:) Finally, Almocageme is a great place to stay in a small local town with nice walking/running paths towards exceptional beaches along the coast! In sum, absolutely recommendable:)

The staff besides the owner is friendly and the tour of the room and facilities was well done We had room number 2 and that bathroom is good (no weird smells like some reviews reported). Relatively quiet at night, even though you have to always remember that you are in a village, not some country villa. So some traffic happens at night. Parking was not that hard to find (free) and we just had to walk a couple of minutes. (Make sure you don't rent a very big car, because that could be problematic). The beach that is directly down from this place is amazing! (especially Ursa Beach)

The owner of the place could learn a thing or 2 about customer friendlyness and "first impressions matter".

The place was clean and cozy. We regret that we planned to stay only one night. The room wasn't big but had everything that we need. The area was quiet and easy to the beach (we didn't walk there though I think it's possible). The breakfast was good enough as they give you plenty of food specifically left for your room number and you organize it yourself. We left our luggage and came back later to pick it up to have one more visit to the fantastic nearby beach. The restaurant downstairs is a must! Good food, much cheaper than Lisbon/Porto restaurants. The staff was lovely!

We stayed only one night :(

Small little pension, with simple but comfortable rooms. Breakfast is generously portioned for each room (cold cuts, cheese, bread, fruit, etc). Staff was super friendly. The general feeling is of being in a small family-run pension, which is a nice rest from the over-tourism of the large cities.

Location requires you to have a car and drive a good half an hour trough small one-way roads if you want to catch the Sintra sights (which you should definitely do!).

This is an extraordinary authentic place with wonderful people all around. Caterina, the heart and soul of the place, does everything to make the traveller feel at home. And the restaurant with its friendly and professional staff, let alone the amazing cuisine, makes thé stay also à culinary experience.

For my it was the perfect place. People not looking for a modern 4 star hotel will find an honest, authentic place.

The first thing I have to say is that is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And here you can live at an affordable price. Secondly, no less important: very sensitive people work here. They do their job perfectly, but they also show respect and compassion. It's priceless! Indeed, you can walk through beautiful forests, to the ocean, along cozy streets. Or go to Sintra, Cascais, hike or go by bus to Cape Roca (to tell the truth, there are many better landscapes here)). The boarding house is quiet and cozy, ask where your windows will look. The road is quite (it was in February), so you shouldn't be afraid of that. The beds are comfortable, there is hot water, heaters too if needed. My room was small but comfortable, with a desk for work. You can also work in a common space with a beautiful landscape. Breakfast is sandwiches, yogurts, cereals and fruit. And of course tea or coffee, unlimited. You can have it at any time (from night till lunch time) in the cozy dining room or on the terrace. Also you can buy something in local markets, it's easy. Eat in the restoran below for ones at least. Later I spent a lot of time in Portugal and I can confidently say: here is the best quality. Also do not be afraid: the cafe is very quiet, you will not be disturbed by noise or something like that. I dream of returning to this place!

You should notice that in the kitchen there are microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, toster and coffee maker. So you may heat food, not cook all you want. But you can eat in restorants: downstairs or near or on the beach.

It was surprising how beautiful the common spaces are. It is wonderful to have breakfast there and have a relaxing break during the day. The small terrace offers a wide view over the sea, the village and the cliffs. It is simply cosy, clean and beautiful. The bed is very comfortable for one person, but it would have been a bit narrow for two. The breakfast is simple, but lovingly prepared. For a good meal, you go down the few steps to the restaurant and enjoy wonderful Portuguese cuisine with the lovely local staff.

A slightly tastier cheese for breakfast would be nice ;)

It's very cozy and tidy, the bathroom is big. Not far from the beach. The check in is very easy, just in the restaurant, and the room is at the first floor. We can park the car in the street. The person here are really really nice, very helpful and kind. And the restaurant is soooo delicious. In the morning they prepare a very delicious breakfast, big quantity. We can eat in the terrace. We spent a pleasant day here. Thanks a lot.
