Bel Air

Very nice hotel right at the beach and in the city center of Castelldefels, next to some very nice restaurants. Good breakfast. Small private pool area. Friendly staff.

While the entire hotel is up to a very high standard incl the room control touch panel for aircon, lights etc, the breakfast area would definitely benefit from 2 new coffee machines with quicker dispensing hot beverages. For tea drinkers there should be a water kettle in the breakfast area. Castelldefels beach is directly in the landing zone of Barcelona El Prat airport, so expect ongoing air traffic noise.

Bel Air is a nice, small art-deco styled boutique hotel on the beach of Castelldefels. The location of the hotel is great - easy access from the airport, right on the beach, near to restaurants, the bus stop is right next to the hotel as well. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We stayed here 3 times during our layovers in Barcelona and tried several different rooms and were clean and nicely designed. The beds were very comfortable. We liked the pool area, it is well located on the street side thus for most of the time in shade so we could take a rest from the afternoon heat.

Only thing I have to complain about is that there is no hair conditioner in the bathroom.

The view from a sea view room is phenomenal. Waking up to the views every morning was a dream. It was so calming and relaxing. GET A SEA VIEW ROOM! The restaurant for dinner was unmatched(I tried other places) the quality of the food was exceptional. Cocktails were made very well too. The restaurant was full every night! The hotel rooftop bar is another star of the show! A must try when you stay here.

Getting a taxi. It was difficult to use Uber, but I saw locals using bolt. The hotel staff recommended a company and called them for me. But in my way back I called them myself and they could not understand me so I had to call multiple times, so just be aware of that.

The hotel was lovely. The staff were very welcoming, efficient and helpful. The hotel was clean, the rooms a good size and the bed very comfortable. The facilities the hotel offered such as the pool were also good. The breakfast buffet had a wide offering of various foods and was very nice.

The only problem we had with the property was the location. It is on a promenade along the very long beach but there isn’t much around, just a few restaurants. If you only want to sit by the pool or swim at the beach, then this hotel is highly recommended.

We were given a corner seaview room which was very large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We have stayed in the Bel Air a number of times and it was always a very nice hotel. However the recent upgrades are very impressive. We have yet to find a better beach. The view from the balcony is so peaceful and relaxing. Castelldefels is a great base from which to explore Barcelona and Sitges. A big thank you to the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. The Bel Air is an excellent hotel and with the recent upgrades it has the feel of a boutique 5 star hotel rather than a four star.

A kettle/coffee maker in the room would be a welcome addition. Other than that the rooms are top class.

Wowwww this was one of the best hotel I've stayed at. Good food, nice staff, gorgeous ocean front room, room was big with all the amenities. Big smart tv. Hotel is modern clean. Rooftop restaurant is awesome. Location is right near all the restaurants and shops. Beach is in front of you. I will recommend this hotel for sure. Cleaning staff does a really good job with the rooms

Nothing. Elevator didn't work for 2 days.

Hotel room looked exactly as on pictures. We liked the view from the balcony. Comfy big bed. Electric shades made absolute dark in the room. The hotel location is very convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Functional room control unit. Positive feelings significantly outweight hotel drawbacks.

We could hear noises from all around outside of our room, other guests, tv, from restaurant. Especially airplanes were very loud, some days the planes kept flying one after another. But, I guess the noise perception depends on person home experience. There was a big screen TV, but only a few working channels, all in Spanish. Towels smelled bad after some cleaner. You are not able to turn off the light on the balcony. The mini fridge didn’t cool down enough. We missed some swimsuit peg.

Everything about this place was fantastic. The location was incredible. You had the beach 10 steps away from you (We had a room with a balcony facing the sea) then the mountains in the distance to the right of us. The views where out of this world. The area is so clean and well looked after. The beach was spotless and so well kept. Lifeguards where everywhere to keep you safe. Sea side bars with sun lounges where dotted along the coast as well. The hotel was lovely, modern but homely. The staff couldn't do enough for you even with a slight language barrier. We ate in the restaurant for one night and the food was out of this world. the quality was incredible and the service was brilliant. You could change the menu to English and the staff helped any way they could.

There honestly was nothing we didnt like.

This up-to-date hotel is located on the beach. It was the perfect location for our last day before flying back to the states. The airport was just a 10 min drive away which made it very convenient to return our rental car and avoid the busy traffic of Barcelona city. We spend an afternoon on the beach. Towels provided by the hotel. We had a delicious dinner in their restaurant which was top rated but pricey.

If you are not able to get a parking spot for your car in their parking lot you may have to park in the street.

I had a room overlooking the front which was quiet. room was clean and comfortable. Location was excellent across from the beach and breakfast was ample. Gentleman on reception was very accommodating, sorry cant remember his name.

I found the lights for the bathroom very confusing, perhaps have some little instructions for how they work as I know they are eco friendly and not standard lighting. You do have to ask for kettle in your room and cup from restaurant but this was easily asked for even though not obvious you can do this. TV was only foreign channels so didnt get any films in english at all all dubbed in spanish.
