Abadía Hotel

The Hotel Abadia is a great place to stay in Granada. It's situated within walking distance of the centre of the city and its attractions. The Alhambra is fairly close, either via a beautiful, hilly walk or by bus. The staff are attentive and friendly and keen to assist. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean and well appointed with a good bathroom, comfortable bed and strong wifi. The location may at first feel a little far from the cathedral area and nain tourist sites but once you've walked it a couple of times it's really nothing. A bonus here is the beautiful Moorish style patio where guests can relax with a drink. Great value for money and recommended!

I was travelling by train so I found its proximity to the train station (about 10 minutes walk carrying light luggage) to be very helpful. It was also very well sited for visiting the main sites in Granada. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and always on hand, without being intrusive. Once inside, I loved the traditional style of the hotel with the rooms arranged around a central Andalucian style courtyard. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom. I would very happily recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Less privacy due to people passing by the room's window, however, the curtains did allow to see people from the room while not allowing them to see into the room.

The accommodation is quite cost effective so you get what you paid for. It's decent, clean and a good size bedroom, with tv, free wifi and aircon. There is a lift as well which helps if you have big suitcases. The patio is beautiful but we didn't really had a chance to sit there tbh. We arrived with the bus from the airport that stops close to the train station, just a short walk away.

As the bedroom was supposed to be a double but they arranged for 2 single beds, sockets were in odd locations. Room are not well insulated we could hear a lot of noises coming from the other rooms. There is no fridge in the room which with the heat is a bit annoying. (this might have been mentioned on booking.com and we didn't notice while booking, it is just something u expect.) I didn't feel super safe in the area but it was 2 of us so no issues, not sure i would have liked to walk home in the evening by myself though.

The Abadia is a great place to stay in Granada. It is ideally located, a little off the main tourist area (so quiet and peaceful) but still only a short walk to the cathedral area and the countless bars and restaurants that Granada boasts. Also very handy for the Alhambra, either by local bus or beautiful walk. The staff at the Abadía are all friendly and helpful. The hotel has a wonderful, Moorish style atmospheric patio. My room was huge, spotless and with a nice spacious bathroom. Great WiFi too. There's absolutely nothing not to like at the Abadia. Great value and highly recommended!

Granada is a very busy place. It was nice to come to our room at this hotel (which was full at that time) and get some relief from the noise of the city. The room was not big but the bed was comfortable, there was lots of hot water for the shower, there was one heater in the bathroom and another in the room and both worked well. The room was very clean and there was lots of towels. It’s about 15 minutes walk from the train station and a few minutes away from places to get breakfast. The staff are friendly. Thank you Olivier for your good advise and kind manner, it was a pleasure to meet you!

Nothing

Our room 101, including the bathroom, was neat and clean. It was a triple room with a double bed and a twin. It appeared to have been recently renovated. The beds were comfortable. We had windows that opened on the street. As we were traveling with my parents who are in their 70s, we appreciated the elevator. Oliver worked the front desk and was extremely helpful in helping us find our way around. The courtyard is lovely and quiet.

When we pulled up in a taxi, the exterior seemed a bit quiet and remote. But once we walked inside and met the friendly staff and saw the charming courtyard, we felt safe and happy. And, we explored the area, we felt quite comfortable in the streets around the hotel.

Hotel was a very nice welcoming environment, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Everything was very nice. Will probably stay again. Overall the location was convenient to the train station, busses and access to Gran via, the Cathedral, Arabic Market and restaurants.

The street the hotel was on and one block each direction around it was full of graffiti and late at night felt a little creepy but didn't encounter any issues and it is only for a 2-3 minute walk through this area before reaching the hotel.
