La Goleta Hotel de Mar - Adults Only

Breakfast was the easily the best of the four hotels we stayed on in Mallorca and our room (superior room with balcony and frontal sea view) was very comfortable. I particularly liked their generosity with swimming towels - two were left in the room and could be easily exchanged for fresh ones left in a basket in reception. This is a welcome change from some hotels which treat every guest as a potential towel thief.

The location of the hotel was excellant, very quiet, on the sea front, and near to all facilities. The room and facilities were good, liked the basket to carry the beach towels in, and the provision of beach umbrellas . The 24 hr tea and coffee machine and able to top up water bottles, all very good.

THe only, small gripe, we had was the cafe/bar was meant to stay open until 11pm, on more than one occassion, the staff started clearing the tables and chair cushions at about 10.15pm and made us feel uncomfortable sitting there, which was a shame as a nice place to relax!

Fantastic location and facilities including free beach towels and bag each day. Unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day at the restaurant as well as free water refills. Breakfast was also lovely on the terrace each morning.

The view! The room (201) was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The air conditioning was wonderful. I very much like the fact that at breakfast the hot food was cooked fresh and attractively presented in the little frying pan. The langoustine salad was one of the best salads I've ever had - the quantity judged to perfection and the quality excellent. The shower was fabulous and the bathroom a great size.

This is not a dislike just a suggestion - more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels etc from, another little shelf near the sink to put things on. We came by car from Palma as part of a self organised tour and found the parking round the hotel was very difficult.

Great location & facilitates - lots of nice extra touches including access to a washing machine ,beach towels , coffee & tea making facilities. The breakfasts were really tasty & plentiful and included in the price . Our room was on the side of the building with a balcony which was sunny into the early evening - it had side views of the sea . We intend going back to this hotel as we were very impressed with it . The hotel was popular as a base for cyclists and being an adults only hotel it was very quiet at night . The hotel felt very secure as access to the bedrooms was restricted as you needed your room swipe to use the lifts and the stairs went through the 24hour reception area so it felt very safe there .

Breakfast was amazing 10/10, variety of cooked breakfast. Just across the beach, lots of restaurants around to choose from. Cafe was only open fro breakfast during our stay. Staff very helpful! Very comfortable too!

They take your credit/debit card details before checking in, obviously to protect themselves in case of damage. While I see nothing wrong in this but having to write down credit card details does not seem safe. Also the pool isn't heated, was unable to swim during my stay.

The breakfast is amazing! It is a buffet and a la carte. The little touches of providing beach towels and you can use their beach umbrellas and beach bag they provide when taking a trip to the beach (which is literally just across the road!). The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. Right on the beach front with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants minutes (/seconds) away.

The decor in the rooms is a little too modern making it feel quite cold and not very cosy. I was hoping the rooms would look a little more grand / luxury boutique rather than budget hotel.

The staff were absolutely incredible and the best part about our stay. Carlos helped us so much with tips for our cycling route, the young receptionist helped by booking our restaurant reservations and arranging a takeaway breakfast, and the housekeeping did a great job. The beach was 10 metres from the door, breakfast was really nice, and we got a free cycle water bottle - such a nice touch. The room was nice and beds were comfy. But the staff really made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you!

There was effectively no shade around the pool on the roof (except for a weird slatted umbrella that didn’t shade effectively) so I couldn’t spend any time there, which was really a shame.
