Uga Residence

Uga Residence was the perfect tranquil retreat to recover from our flight from the UK. We were super excited to stay at this gorgeous colonial property and it did not disappoint! The staff were extremely and courteous and attentive. Dinesh and the Reception Manager went above and beyond to ensure our every need was catered for. We have to mention the restaurant. The food was simply delicious, the Sri Lankan omelette is the best I have tasted and the service amazing. A big thank you to the extended team too for making our stay in Colombo such a memorable one. 🙏🏽

We liked everything

We stayed here for one night as a stop over and the hotel is amazing. Didn’t feel like you were in the middle of Colombo at all, was so peaceful and luxurious. The suite was beautiful and the pool area was very nice. The staff were very attentive and looked after us well. We had a very early check in and they made sure everything was ready for our arrival. Overall, an amazing place to stay to start our honeymoon

Didn’t affect our time but the air con unit was leaking slightly

1) The service was excellent 2) The staff were very professional and helpful 3) The room was very spacious and clean 4) Loved the fruit and coffee pod machine in the room 5) The breakfast and in room dining food were excellent 6) there are great restaurants just across the street 7) the lemongrass and Ginger tea was so refreshing

Just a suggestion, to consider replacing the paving around the pool, and the courtyard off the room, with Victorian style black and white paving. It would elevate the area into a feature.

courtyard area could be cleaner - prevent pigeons and crows from bathing in the sides of the pool please breakfast really didn’t work for me - we were presented with a menu which had prices on and no guidance on how to order? did we pay? did we order one thing? do we order one of each? i then asked for croissant and bagel but both were enormous so I generated wasted. i assumed they would be small. Breakfast set up needs some work. food was good though

We were traveling as a family (2 adults and 2 children) and the staff at Uga Residence went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Especially given that our son (7 yrs) was feeling unwell, they accommodated our request for a late checkout, also organized the RT-PCR tests and all our transport requirements with minimum fuss. They also have a nice swimming pool and an awesome breakfast. A special shoutout to Gaveena and Sithija who were both excellent and understand what good customer service looks like. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent customer service and a brilliant swimming pool that is open from 7am - 9pm. The hotel has an opulent feel, and everything is tastefully decorated. Our room was absolutely huge: it was twice the size of an average one bedroom apartment in London. The bathroom is also spacious, with his & her sinks. The restaurant is absolutely exceptional, even if measuring to London standards. The price is very reasonable, in fact we would have paid more for

Wish we stayed longer and had the chance to try more dishes from the restaurant.

gorgeous building, the rooms were large, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. the courtyard dining was relaxed and an oasis of calm.

everything was great food service was a little slow but not a problem. would be nice if they had a clear luggage storage room if you need it. seemed they did but we had to insist they didn’t just leave our bags outside.

Little jewel in the middle of the city. Beautiful elegant and cosy property with amazing decor and ambiance. Huge confirmable rooms beautifully furnished and decorated, nice swimming pool and restaurant area. Very relaxing and chic... Great breakfast and most importantly helpful staff... Exceptional experience that we all loved...

Great choice of breakfast which is prepared individually so don't be in a rush if you want to enjoy the great food all served by attentive staff, on the peaceful verandah.

Room was large, bathroom was massive! All very clean, with attentive and friendly staff, particularly in the restaurant. Pool was a great way of finishing the day. An oasis of calm in an otherwise fairly hectic city!

Bathrobes a little on the small side, room cleaning at 08:50 a little early.
