Well-located and modern hotel in a vibrant neighbourhood, opposite the daily art/craft market and near Republic Square. Rooms are large and comfortable, well-lit, large desk with good wifi, fridge, ironing-board, tea/coffee. Bathroom is large, good shower etc. Excellent breakfast with some Armenian options. There is an outdoor pool to cool-off, but it is too small for exercise. Staff friendly and helpful.
The building of a new conference hall created a lot of noise during the day - this was not explained at time of booking and may have influenced my choice of hotel. On one evening the restaurant was closed for a very loud private function.

Tunfenkian historic hotel honors it's name. An architectural gem that its elegant and contemporary interior design respects the Armenian heritage. The outstanding Tunfenkian collection of handcrafted carpets at the lobby, makes staying at the hotel a cultural expérience. The room is spacious very comfortable with beautiful handcrafted fittings and beddings. Breakfast is excellent and the restaurant serves delicious traditional dishes and more. The location is in the heart of Yerevan across a beautiful park where the famous vernissage market opens every day. The area around it is quite and the hotel is just a step away from Republic square with all the Museums restaurants and cafes. The service was flowless and the hotel's friendly stuff a plus to the Armenian hospitality. Overall an excellent choice looking forward to staying again soon!

Nice hotel in a fantastic location. Central spot close to Republic square, but not on the most busiest of roads so it’s less hectic which was perfect. Hotel is also right in front of Vernissage Market. Large rooms that were kept very clean and service staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast good enough if you’re in a rush or need it for convenience.
Few minor things: When I booked, was told by staff over Booking chat that there wasn’t a need to reserve restaurants in advance, which isn’t the case. Only managed to dine at one place that I wanted to luckily, so suggest you book dinners at least a few days in advance. Also my return transfer by the hotel was booked on the wrong date, but luckily I reconfirmed at the hotel and it was corrected so in the end it was fine. Also as there is only one lift, it can also be a bit slow sometimes.

Everything. Perfect cleanliness, perfect style - from the lobby to the metallic heads of a rug hanger above our bed. Tender linen on a comfortable mattress under an authentic coarse throw blanket. Details - like a copper plate "Do not disturb", historical photos or small chocolates. Fragrance of soap and shampoo. View. The kettle, air conditioning and all the facilities functioned properly. Stable WiFi - I enjoyed long music playlists on YouTube without a single inconvenience. Several towels - for feet too!, changed every day. Bottles of water. Space for working and meeting. Carpets, and the chance to see how they are made. Splendid food in the restaurant - almost every dish; I would order them again and recommend everyone heading to Yerevan. Your gata is one of the best (we tried it in every other restaurant). Breakfasts - perfect, even for my picky husband: overwhelming choice, heating table for warm dishes, sugar substitute, lots of fresh vegetables, nuts, fruits, meat, teas and juices... Croissants - I've never eaten more tasty ones. Thanks so much to all the staff!
The tap water behaves strange (quick fluctuations in temperature), though it doesn't bother too much while taking shower. Also, I'd like to have more hooks in the bathroom, or/and a heated towel rail too. The laundry is quite expensive, that should be considered. Wish there was some washing machine nearby to do it on our own.

The location was amazing, we were close to so many points of interest, places to eat, the Vernisage market, museums etc. The rooms were decorated very tastefully and were very comfortable. Full length windows were very nice and liked keeping them open at night. was pleased I had the capacity to control the aircon in the room, turned it off the minute I walked in! The staff was very pleasant and I liked that they had a carpet shop in the hotel with a working loom so we got to watch two people making a carpet.
It was a noisy during the day due to the amount of traffic but that seems to be. a problem throughout Yerevan so I don't think it has much to do with the hotel per se. The safe in the room did was not working, I suspect they needed to change the batteries but I forgot to mention it to them.

Modern, yet cosy and individual design; clean; super friendly staff; great location.
Some of the facility could use close monitoring. For example, it wasn’t possible to set the air conditioning in our room to a certain temperature (the higher the fan speed, the colder the room.) It would also be great to investigate the smell on the upper deck of the pool (probably from the construction site next door, ie temporary?)

great hotel, in a beautiful historic building. quiet area, but really close to everything i needed. great staff, very polite. You can feel there is some history in this place, although i did't actually have the time to read up on it.
at first we were given a room that was a bit tired (room 712), and was not as it was meant to be, according to the pictures. The front door closed only if you slammed it really hard, that lead to some frustration, but more importantly the a/c did not work properly, and that was a problem, if you ever been to Yerevan in July you'd know. It took 3 days of arguing with the staff, but in the end we were moved to a presidential. As you might imagine after that it was a different story, and everything was great after that. So whatever you do stay away from 712.

The building is spectacular. I loved the high ceilings and the unique decor in the rooms using local materials including Tufenkian carpets. It’s proximity to Independence Square and all the best cafes and restaurants without the noise was another huge plus. And naturally the fact that it faces the vernissage is super convenient.
The toiletries were not the best. The bathroom doors were too heavy and obstructive. The larger executive suites are on the gloomy side. The lighting in the rooms were not the best either.

The location, right opposite the Yerevan Vernissage, was excellent. Republic Square is only a short walk away, and so are most of the must-see sites in Yerevan: e.g., the Cascade is just under half an hour away by foot. The room was spacious and well-appointed - the bathroom, too. The hotel kindly moved me to a room with larger windows and a great view of the vernissage and the city. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is decorated in a modern style with traditional touches; there are Armenian carpets everywhere (there is also a carpet store in the building). The hotel restaurant (Tufenkian Kharpert Restaurant) is great - the food there is delicious, and the room service menu is very good, too. There's a Baguette & Co. right next door if you want to grab some coffee before heading out for some sightseeing, and Mirzoyan Library nearby (which will soon be opening a coworking space) is great for a cocktail and a nibble (and some remote work). The WiFi at the hotel was stable and I was able to work there, although I also took my laptop to a few cafés, too, for some variety.
The water pressure in the shower was very strong (for the most part a good thing) and was difficult to regulate. Not a huge issue, just something to note.
