Staff was very friendly and helpful about giving directions to restaurants and the lake for the drone show.

We weren’t informed the room has a shared balcony and a bit surprised seeing other people walking past outside the room. It’s not a big issue but if I’d have known I’d chose not to have the room with a shared balcony. Also wasn’t aware of pets are allowed, which is also perfectly fine, but if I’d have known I’d ask my room not to be close to rooms that have dogs (which some have barked a bit in the night).

Breakfast was good. Bed very comfortable

Difficult access with the construction work next door. Also glad my room was on the side away from the construction.

The friendliness of staff, the bar, the space in the bedroom, very comfortable and large bed, facilities available in the wardrobe (even though we didn't need to use them).

There could be a choice of pillows to meet different preferences. There were plenty in the room, but they were all very big and too high for both my partner and I. We prefer pillows not so 'full'. This did cause some discomfort (neck strain) in sleeping. This is quite subjective and everyone is different, which is why it would be good to have a choice of different pillows. There was some event/party taking place on the night of our stay - not sure if that is normal. It affected the atmosphere in the bar which wasn't great. We didn't want to feel like we were in a nightclub. Events should be kept separate from normal hotel areas. Parking should be a free facility - adding $30 on to the stay feels like we've been taken advantage of.

The staff were amazing and had so much knowledge about Canberra and where to go or what to do. The parking was great being able to go in and out as you please and decently priced. We were amazing at what a bargain the hotel was and how stylish and new the rooms were. The breakfast was a full size meal and drink which couldn’t be beaten with the waiters being very attentive. The conceit he went above and beyond to help us celebrate our engagement and we felt like we were being looked after in every aspect.

The only downside would maybe be the construction outside however it wasn’t loud at all and if you use the back entrance to the hotel really not an inconvenience at all

The location was perfect for what we needed. Lots of eateries within walking distance and the tram is only 15min walk away. All staff we came across were lovely and very helpful.

The bathroom was a little weird. The shower was on a raised bed, and water got everywhere. I also felt really cramped when sitting on the loo, I was 33 weeks pregnant and found it really uncomfortable to try and use the toilet. Sorry for the overshare. There was also mould on the walls and roof, which makes sense because the exhaust fans weren't operating at all. We left the door open to shower to lessen the moisture build-up in the bathroom.

Went there to watch the New Years fireworks. Walking distance to the lake by the footpath. Lovely staff, clean room. Thank you for being always accomodating.

Ive tried to put in my booking that we would need parking however no one has replied back. As we arrived at the back entrance ,no one answered the intercom at the parking gate which was confusing. I had to get down from there to walk and check in first and to ask the reception as my husband drive around the block to wait for me. we were lead to the parking space at the end of the road which was a convenient walk to the back of the hotel.

Lovely staff who were eager to assist, decent breakfast however came out luke warm both mornings, lovely view of the city, staff kindly left a complimentary bottle of champagne out for our anniversary. Service was impeccable. Parking is very convenient and close enough that you can walk to bars and restaurants.

The facilities could do with a touch up. Shower leaked all over the bathroom as the silicone was falling to pieces, had to use our towels each day to mop it up, mould on the roof, which was also cracked and overall, just needed a facelift. Has a lot of potential but could use some maintenance. Not the closest to the city centre however only a short walk. This isn't the hotel's fault I simply didn't do my research, however, may be helpful for future travelers.

Staff were very friendly and the restaurant is lovely. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great central location. Loved the green initiative with option to decline room service and get a cashback.

Don't like the spooky wall transfer pictures in the lifts. More signage to find the front of hotel and carpark entrance would be good whilst building work going on. Also couldn't work the apps on our tv using the remote to access entertainment and not sure if it was due to a fault or us but not a user friendly interface. Could only get free to air tv.

the breakfast was great value. The cocktails were awesome too. We loved the space- both as a cocktail bar and breakfast. We adored the wooden key (a small but cool touch). The dyson hair-drier was an unexpected pleasure, and the bathrom products fabulous. Location is great, and the view from our rom was awesome

The works going on in your front yard are not ideal, but of course unavoidable. We did get a bit disorientated because of them when walking back to the hotel after a show, but Canberra always feels safe, even late-ish at night. We were a bit sad we couldn't get a post-show drink at the bar, which seemed quite busy, just before 10pm. I thought if the bar was busy they might stay open a bit later.

Bed - totally amazing!!! Best ever in a hotel! Restaurant - food was absolutely delicious! Steak cooked to absolute perfection! Breakfast - delicious! And SO GOOD when it is included in the price!

Parking!!!! Several things went wrong with parking. The main issue was that our vehicle was too high for the underground parking, and there were no parks left in your outdoor section which meant we had to park several streets away and carry luggage. Very annoying. Suggestion - can all small cars be made to park underneath so all cars higher than the 1.90mt height restriction have room in your outdoor section.
