Desert Sand Motor Inn

First night, there was loud swearing and dirty talking by some neighbours, but after 1 hour it was over, then early morning next day some neighbours above, were shouting to others to get up, someone told them to be a little quiet and they got very loud and nasty against that person, but it did not matter to me, I was in my car on my way to Mutawintji National Park for a wonderful day, then the rest of the 2 nights all was good, except that there was a blackout in Broken Hill for many hours. Let me add, it is a good place to stay, I will recommend it, thank you.

We had an upstairs room that was large enough for the two of us. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and strong. The motel is just a few blocks from the centre of town. The receptionist, Carly, was friendly and helpful with tourist tips.

Our neighbours were noisy and inconsiderate, even knocking on our door (by mistake) at 2 am. We would have appreciated an extra chair and small table outside to enjoy an evening beer.

need to upgrade garden area as shows weeds there as just to update plants to make feel warmly and living view no 6 unit have missing that centre ceiling light is not working and no small dishcloth for wash the dishes , also needs upgrade the toilet paper rail is bit loose and noticed that its dusted laid on the top side of doors for keys to put in the collection box nearby the office as need make bit room window bigger to easy access. For the reception office needs little facelift up as being more sign pictures/ background wall into plain nice colour as make attracts to the customer feel bit more warm environment area.

I appreciated the fact that my feedback was listened to and acted on! Superb!! The room was again very comfortable.

The things I didn't like about my stay were in no way the fault of the Motel, rather inconsiderate guests who slam doors of their 4WDs, use their car phones on speaker while packing the car at 6:30am and take up the space of 2 cars so their back tailgate is 3 steps from their room door. There was nothing about the Motel I didn't like.

The owner was very helpful especially when we reliased the air conditioning wasnt working changing us to another room.Then a few hours later when i noticed i had left my handbag in the original room she came back to let me retrieve it.There was also a laundry on premises for a very reasonable cost.

The shower was amazing, the bed was very comfortable, the location was close to the Main Street.

We booked 2 rooms. The room for 4 people was recently renovated and looked lovely, the 2nd room for 2 was not renovated. our Fridge plug was dodgy, we had trouble with our tv getting it to work and there was very little wifi in the room. The pool wasn’t vey inviting. My children swam in it and said it was full of bugs.

Staff were friendly, room clean! Convinced located close to town centre and attractions, the pool was perfect on very hot day to cool down then awesome shower! but the highlight was the bed! Best sleep I ever had it was so comfortable and really didn’t want to get up in the morning highly recommend value for money

Friendly helpful staff. Room was clean. Good amenities - tv, kettle, toaster, fridge, crockery and microwave. Good location, easy to get anywhere.

Room was a bit tired and musty. The light in my bathroom was broken - this was fixed very quickly by the helpful staff, but unfortunately the dust and bugs from the old light being removed was not cleaned up when the light was fixed so it was a bit dirty in the bathroom after that.

The beds were really comfy. It was clean and easy to get in and out. It may not look the best but it hasthe most comfy beds I have slept in in a long time.

Room was clean and quite. Had all that was needed to sleep and keep clean. There was a free laundry with dryers and washing pods from reception.

The Wi-Fi was slow, so had to use my phone. Water in the shower was inconsistent which would either burn or freeze you unless you got a really early shower. The shutter on the front window would not open. The reception on the television was missing for a number of stations.
