Forster Palms Motel

Our 5 night stay went very well. Loved the shower in the en suite which was very reasonable in size. Plenty of room for the toilet and vanity as well. Air conditioner and fan worked a treat for us on the few hotter nights that we had. Beds were comfortable and nights were quiet for a good nights sleep. Cleaning staff were lovely and we only required their services occasionally to replace our towels and remove rubbish from bin. Also a once over vacuum was needed for the carpet during our stay. Room was full of natural light with blind opened and room had good flow through ventilation with entry door open . Room was still very private and best of all free parking at front of unit. Enjoyed our meals at the bowls club restaurants next door.

Unit number displayed on car park would help others to choose correct parking for their room booked. We managed 2 out of 5 nights to park in front of our room when we returned to motel. Still managed to get a park well away from our room, on property which was still convenient. This will have no bearing on stopping us retuning for another stay.

The owner was very polite and helpful. The room was older style but very clean and comfortable. It was great too have a 2-seater couch in the room for watching TV and the kitchen provided a microwave and toaster as well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities, very handy if you want to make a light breakfast or snack. The shower had a huge volume of water which was appreciated in this age of water conservation. The location is good - next door to the bowling club which provided excellent meals but also only a short drive to other facilities including the beach.

Although the kitchen provided the usual jug, biscuits, tea and coffee and enough cups, glasses and wine glasses for 3 people, having a microwave and toaster [a great idea] was somewhat useless as there were no plates or bowls on which to place food and no cutlery to eat with apart from one lonely teaspoon.

Great location. Right next door to the bowling club where we got complimentary membership and some free drinks from the motel. Went there for a lovely meal every night of our 7 day stay in Forster. Not far from main street one way and shopping centre the other way. Lovely looking pool area. Also, great entertainment right next door if you have kids, there is tenpin bowling and laser tag.

The shower has a curtain rather than a door and I found that a bit annoying as it sticks to the body while showering and if you hang it out of the shower it creates a lot of water on the floor in the bathroom. The couch was a bit uncomfortable to sit on so could do with a bit of an upgrade. The barbeque area by the pool is good but could do with a bit of shade. There is no shade area at all by the pool or barbeque area so it was quite hot standinf there cooking.

Large clean room, plenty of light, huge balcony overlooking bowling greens. Nice to have a microwave. Close to 2 clubs, and shopping was 15 minutes away, as was the river. Friendly welcoming staff and plenty of parking.

I booked 2 rooms, one was updated, but one was not. No security latch on room 35 which was a concern. Bed in room 36 was hard as a rock and extremely uncomfortable so I didn't sleep much. Ants on the floor in the bathroom.

Room was comfortable and large enough for 3, and location was good. Access to swimming pool, seated areas and washing machine were great. Liked the link to the bowling club and visited on 2 occasions during our stay.

We had an ant invasion which was tricky to deal with. A sink in the kitchenette would have been amazing. Also a communal outdoor space to hang swimmers and towels would have been useful.

Location slightly out of town but within walking distance with two kids and right next to Bowling club with great meals. Very clean rooms and very helpful staff.

Upon entering the rooms you read that you need to be vigilant with cars, belongings and that security patrol at night which should make you feel safer but actually caused a little fear, well for me and my youngest anyway. Area is lovely and we were very relaxed once over the initial fear and more on us then the hotel.

Motel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Loved that it was right next door to the club,very much enjoyed the buffet there and the free drink from the motel.Will definitely be staying again.My plans changed at the last minute with extra person coming and motel staff upgraded our room for no extra. Thanku so much.

The value for money of this lovely motel was excellent. The room was very well equipped and the staff were lovely. The location was so close the the township but just far enough away to be quiet at night.

The air-conditioning wasn't working and when we put on a heater at night it blew a fuse so we were very cold. Other than this it was excellent.

Good sized room, microwave provided,, beds were comfortable, shower old but worked. Appreciated the provision of X2 cartons of milk for tea/coffee.. We arrived late afternoon so took advantage of the vouchers for the bowling club next door which provided an excellent roast dinner .

Lack of cutlery especially tea spoons.

The motel was within walking distance to everything. We walked to the beach, the shops and the foreshore. The Bowling club was next door as well as the Bowling ally, Putt Putt. The meals served at the Bowling Club were delicious and generous serves . We had a nice pizza for lunch at Club Foster.
