Avaleen Lodge Motor Inn

Genuinely friendly and helpful hosts, exceptionally clean and fresh room with great amenities (including a really cheap mini-bar selection and free wi-fi). Cooked breakfast delivered to my room was excellent value, fresh and delicious! Really quiet considering highway side location. Convenient and safe room side parking. Short walk to large supermarket and numerous food outlets. Would definitely recommend to solo, business or family travellers.

Was a great stay so no improvements to suggest

The layout of our split level apartment was excellent, with both bedrooms on the ground floor by the bathroom. The main living areas were all on the second floor. The property was pristine in cleanliness, not a single hair or food crumb could be spotted. The electric blanket was awesome for a cold night and it had every amenity we could possibly need for a very comfortable stay.

Unfortunately the hot water did run out so it was a little inconvenient on a cold, active day. It did warm up again in decent time (20 minutes or so) but just be aware that it isn’t continuous, unlimited hot water. You would be ok if you take very fast showers, but difficult for girls/women with long hair that take more time.

Even though it’s location was on the highway, it was extremely quite. Shower pressure was awesome, beds were super comfy and spacious. Fridge was a fantastic size for a family of 4. Heating and cooling perfect. Pool was too cold for me, but my boys loved it. The owners are lovely and accommodating, as were the relief managers on site during our stay. Customer service is definitely a focus.

not really a dislike, more safety. The floor in shower was really slippery, had to be careful stepping into the cubicle. And our apartment bathroom floor when wet was extremely slippery too, we ended up putting a towel down for safety. Could of used a fan in the bathroom to help get rid of the steam.

An excellent motel! Our room was so big and spacious! Very clean and tidy also. A nice comfy Queen bed and great room amenities. The location was also really convenient but the room was so quiet. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Nothing. Everything was great.

Very clean and well maintained room. Super comfortable bed (the best I've ever had in a Motor Inn/Hotel). The room was well laid out, a good sized tv, and even had a mini bar had I needed it. Plenty of coffee & tea, milk, etc. Very clean and tidy bathroom. I was a very late arrival but Chris the manager (owner?) went out of his way to make my night super smooth and even had a parking space big enough for my large van. If I ever need accommodation around Nowra again, I'll be staying here.

I've stayed in many motels over the years and Avaleen Logde is definitely up there with the best as far as value for $, comfort, location and tastefully decorated. The room was bright and fresh, perfectly sized with a great central location to shops, hospital (reason for visit to Nowra) and scenic aspects of the surrounding areas.

There was nothing I didn't like

The bed was fantastic, big and comfortable, Needed to use the laundry because of the bad weather. Easy to find, quite considering located on main highway. I would sit in dining area and watch the traffic while it was raining. Nice and bright. Plenty of room. Bathroom good light to put makeup on and roomy. Enjoyed our stay. Owners very helpful and friendly. Excellent property for a home away stay.

The stairs but it gave us more room being two levels.

the location was quite good, and the room that I was allocated was also quite comfortable. staff were responsive and friendly.

there was a toothbrush from a previous guest on top of the shower, presumably missed by housekeeping, with that one exception there was nothing I didn't like about the accommodation.

Nice accomodation and comfy room with good kitchen facilities. We met the manager while walking around the premises - check in was all done without any face to face contact.

Internet not reliable - limited access which meant we ran out of options very early on and there did not seem to be an easy way to increase our allocation. Also the facility was not as clean as I would like - there were cobwebs and a few spiders in the cupboards and in corners on the floor.

Close to shopping, places to eat. Convenient to where I needed to go. Room nice and quiet. Clean room and comfortable big bed. Air conditioning and electric blanket made for nice cosy nights. Friendly staff.

Located on highway. Little hard to get out of driveway over the long weekend.
