Just loved everything about this jewel of a place ; from the warmth of the welcome with a personal introduction to my room, to the sea gently lapping the shore line but a few steps away! Good restaurant for supper a few minutes walk away in one directiion and plenty of options for breakfast in the opposite direction come morning - along an easy path that stretches for about 4 km for those in need of a sea stroll. Can't recommend this lovely little place highy enough and just wish that I had had more time to sit and do nothing but look at and listen tonthe sea.

The room was simple but functional and clean. It is so close to the beach that it is practically on the beach. I had the room with the best view. It was possible to see the sea from bed.

Wifi is a non starter. There is wifi but it is not possible to connect for longer than 5 seconds. I used data, it was easier, but very slow due to mobile network. Air conditioner has some issues. According to the owner the pipes freeze often, therefore the AC should be used sparingly.

The location can't be beaten. Right on the beachfront, easy walking distance to restaurants, takeaways, bottle shops. It's an older style motel, with a verandah outside the rooms. Tables and chairs are placed outside each room. The room itself was a generous size, good sized bathroom and shower, and small dining table and chairs available for self catering. We chose to get fish and chips from a fabulous place nearby, and sat at a common area at the front of the complex overlooking the beach. Very pleasant. The owners could not have been more helpful.

Location was superb, right on the water. Our room was very spacious, and the beds being separated by a wardrobe/divider added privacy. The room included a kitchenette, a table and stools and a couch, so it was very comfortable. Great bathroom and a table and chairs were provided outside on the verandah. The owners Chris and Kelly are so friendly and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike and my friend and I wished we were staying longer.

This is very pleasant place to stay. It is close to the beach with excellent views of the ocean and a backdrop of islands and mountains. It provides a great opportunity for photographers to get shots of beautiful sunrise. It is within walking distance of several eateries - cafes, the local pub plus decent restaurants. The hosts were very welcoming and sociable providing a deck for evening drinks.

The only negative the shower was a bit slippery for older guests. But the owners Michelle and Lee were receptive to our comments about this and indicated they plan to provide anti-slip matting in future. The rooms were smaller than expected but quite cosy once we got settled in

We really enjoyed the stay at Cardwell Beachfront Motel. The rooms are tidy, have a nice style and beds are comfortable. The airconditioner was very quiet. Big plus!

The host was a bit stressful in the morning with the checkout (knocked at the door at half past 10) even though the motel had many vacant rooms. We had other motels which didnt bother till 12 am.

While simple, the room was quite comfortable and the location was great being only a 30 second walk to the beach.

Not too much can be improved on. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The fact that there wasn't an obvious wifi connection didn't bother us much as it is a beach holiday motel, we also didn't ask ;).

Loved this property. The owner / manager is super friendly. So embarrassing. We accidentally packed the tv remote (sorry to the guests who stayed after us) and he was really good about it. We dropped it back on the way through. The property has insane views out to the Hinchinbrook Island cluster. A crocodile warning sign is very close by so use the pool. The rooms have a beach shack vibe, beds super comfy, two strong ceiling fans, we’ll set out kitchen with fridge and cooker. Cardwell underrated and is worthy of a longer stay.

That the crocodiles claimed the water first. It looks so inviting out in the ocean.

The Cardwell Beachfront Motel is a great location. Michelle was so kind & accommodating my evening check in. She extended warm hospitality with Great recommendations for restaurants. My room was impeccably clean! It had comfortable bed and pillows. I love that I could hear the ocean from my room! It was a delight! This location has a fantastic walk way next to the beach to enjoy a sunrise walk!

Location and atmosphere. The hosts Lee and Michelle were super lovely and welcoming. We stayed in the room at the front of property with two balconies, so depending on the time of day would depend on which one we sat on. Was just so nice being able to open the blinds and have a massive ocean view. Both balconies faced the ocean at the front and side of room. We enjoyed the option of meeting a few of the other guests at the 5pm drinks on the deck looking out to the ocean. Was a really nice community vibe with people you’d just met. We stayed for two nights and felt relaxed and happy the whole time. Was also a 30min drive to the beautiful Murray Falls. (with swimming hole-really pretty).

Needs a little touch up here and there, but the little things kind of add to the charm. Property was clean and well cared for.
