The room wasn't over big, but it was clean and comfortable - great value for money

It wasn't me, but my colleague didn't sleep well as the air con hummed quite loudly. The light outside was quite bright and was seeping through the gaps in the curtain, he ended up going out to the car and getting some bulldog clips from the paperwork box to close it better. I could sleep through an air raid siren!!

1. Property looked like a closed site, reception drive-thru blocked by parked cars and a sign on door saying this reception is closed. 2. No communication prior to arrival stating special arrangements for collection of key. Check-in and collection of key is not on-site, it is numerous blocks down the road. 3. Blasé attitude (uncaring in my opinion) of male person. 4. Unable to cancel/change booking within the hour of being made (no cooling-off period). 5. Because of all the above, we refused to stay at Abajaz. 6. Moneys were deducted from my card without my approval for which I never received a receipt.

Nice room in quiet location. The TV wasn’t working when we arrived and they came instantly when we reported it and replaced it by the end of the day.

The only suggestion to consider is there was no information pack in the room on things you can do and see in the town/area or suggestion places for meals etc.

I was concerned that there would not be anyone at reception as room number and access code was set by message. However, the system worked well and we were able to use our room immediately. It was spacious with 2 chairs for eating at the bench and a comfy lounge for 2. There were tables with chairs outside every room. We met the cleaning staff the following morning. They were friendly and helpful. A mobile phone number was available if help was needed.

It was an enjoyable walk on the Botanical walkway to both the Stockman’s Hall of Fame and the Qantas Museum and in the opposite direction, a pleasant stroll from the Abajaz Motel, was the Railway and the Main Street. Very well located for our purposes.

loved the code for the door instead of a key so that you can check in as late as you want and a lot of places only give 1 key so you have to stay together or someone can be locked out.

shower was not really clean had soap from previous personnel and floor in shower was gross, had this white mark all over it I don't know if it was mold or something like that. other than that the other stuff was cleaned etc.

The room needed smartening up. A coat of paint would improve things. The curtains need rehanging. The facilities were all thete but the decor in the room was tired.

Had stayed here previously so I knew what to expect. Air conditioning worked and that was all that mattered!! Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Had everything a traveller would need. I had a car so its location was not an issue but it was within walking distance of the Qantas Founders Museum and the Stockman's Hall of Fame as well as the main street.

It met my expectations so there was nothing about my stay that I did not like.

Staff helped with parking our car and camper. They found us a place where we could park and stay hitched up. The staff were very friendly, and were smiling all the time.

The room was exactly what we expected - basic, but clean and comfortable. This is not a 5-star motel, but neither is the price. I would recommend this motel to anyone travelling through town.

Very clean, and was most impressed with the efficient administration, given I arrived at 9pm. The room was very comfortable and well equipped, including an iron and board, tea and coffee, comfortable bed and good lighting.

Nothing - all good. I don't have anything bad to say - the room was in excellent order, as I expected - thank you for having the room ready when I arrived after a long day of driving from Mount Isa to Longreach.
