Stepping into Rydges Pit Lane Hotel, I found myself surrounded by the exhilarating world of motorsports. The ambiance was electric, and my room was a haven of modernity and comfort, with a bed that seemed to hug me back to sleep.

Yet, there was an aspect of my stay that proved challenging. As someone who isn’t as spry as I used to be, the long trek to my room was daunting. The unique layout of the hotel meant navigating an extensive stretch, which included 284 steps. While I appreciated the distinctiveness of the hotel, a heads-up about the distance would have been helpful for better planning, especially for those of us with mobility considerations.

Was a stopover on the way to Melbourne. Glad we chose this over some cheaper accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay there again. Buffet breakfast was ok. The kitchen was quite happy to accommodate my additional request due to dietary requirements

The bath towel was well used and had a hole in it, given it was only for one night I didn't worry about it too much. Door to bathroom was only a sliding door and doesn't give full privacy if needed. Hotel was mostly empty, however, we were given a room very far away from reception.

It’s on the race track. Has a restaurant, gym and apparel store. we liked the display of cars.

1. Food in restaurant could be improved: - too many unhealthy battered or crumbed options. There is only the steak and slow cooked ribs that are not crumbed or battered. You should provide other protein options such as chicken and fish with lots vegetables. 2. The coffee with the buffet is horrible, too watered down. 3. Try to provide more bread options with buffet: wholemeal, grain etc 4. Provide another chair in the rooms and a small table. If there are 2 people in room 2 chairs are essential. 5. the lighting in the room is poor. It’s hard to see in the cupboard. In bathroom, mirror lighting is poor.

Amazing location overlooking the race track. Fabulous foyer with their own collection of supercars. Restaurant also overlooks the track with a balcony. Able to walk around the paddock & see cars in the pits. As expected from Rydges chain, very comfortable rooms & great staff. Evening menu at restaurant was basic, but good with large portions. Breakfast buffet and barista coffee was very good while watches cars going around the track.

Suspect price during race days knocks this out as a business stopover !

Breakfast was delicious and a great variety. The beds were super comfortable. Would be awesome on a motorsport event. Being right above the pits would be exhilarating. Noisy, but exhilarating.

The rooms were a little small for the larger person, but well set out. It would have been nice to have had some cold water in the fridge and ice in the freezer. It was quite warm weather.

Breakfast was good until Monday morning on departure when the staff would not allow me to have continental, said only option was a full breakfast which I did not want a cooked breakfast. Seemed very disappointing when they already had all the continental breakfast items available.

as above, disappointing .

A hotel inside a race track! Unique and the boys loved the cars in the lobby. The room overlooks the track. Very modern, spacious rooms, large bathrooms and showers. Ours also had a large soaker tub.

Walls are thin, really really thin, so it was noisy. Not only from anyone walking in the hallway but also from the plumbing upstairs. You can’t be a light sleeper

Locatrion was great and the mini museum in the foyer was alos very good. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and it was well priced and beautiful food. Best steaks we have ever had. Also the scambled eggs for breakfast were outstanding and not the mushy rubbish most try to serve up.

The fridge in the room didn't work.

The racing staff at their reception area were not friendly or helpful but Rydges people great at all contact points - friendly, helpful on point. Melissa the newbie was just great and it was her first day she said.

Aircon right in face in room whilst trying to sleep. No where to put your toilet bag in shower, when seat wet. Great it’s disability friendly but need a happy compromise. There was a shelf at right of door when you entered, way to tall for me at 151cm
