The River Boat Hotel - Echuca

We stayed for two nights and very much enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to restaurants, etc. The bed was comfortable, and the pool was nice to relax in on the warm days. The staff member Kevin was friendly and made us feel very much welcome. He offered us milk for the room and pool towels when we checked in. In a lot of places, we have to ask for that. Kevin spoke to us throughout our stay, and he went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Thanks heaps.

More lighting in the room would be good. The room was a little dark due to a lack of lighting. Apart from that, everything else was great.

I really liked the layout of the property, which made the most of the area in front of the rooms, with a small spa/swimming pool next to a cosy eating area, two small fish ponds and lots of plants. It was quiet at night and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The Hotel car parking is on site and close to the accommodation. We loved our room, it was nice and light with good facilities. It wasn't huge but was perfect for our needs. There were lots of coffee places near-by and restaurants within walking distance. The town was interesting and we discovered a short river walk behind the restaurants going towards Moama.

This place is wonderful for families! We loved that our room allowed our kids to have their own private area to hang out in, and they're already asking if we can stay again when the weather is warmer so they can play in the pool. The person in charge on the day we checked in was kind enough to upgrade one of our rooms which was unexpected and lovely. The location was excellent as well, just a few short steps away from all the action. We are definitely staying again in the future.

If only the pool was heated so we could enjoy it in the winter! But alas, we'll just visit again in warmer weather.

Great hotel right in the centre of town. Staff are very friendly and helpful for tips on where to go. The hotel is older however it has and is continuing to be maintained nicely. Rooms very comfortable and warm, we appreciated a warm room when we arrived. The room has everything you need including the bonus of microwave, toaster, kettle etc. We purchased food from a local supermarket around the corner and were able to make dinner in our room. If you are here in summer, they have a lovely pool/spa that looked inviting (but not in winter). We would definitely stay here again and felt it was great value for money. Thank you to the owner who made us feel very welcome.

very clean. staff friendly and helpful. close to town within walking distance. had a small pool. Parkin on site. tea,coffee amenities. comfortable bed. tv and free wifi.

pool was tiny but would have been ok if (and this has nothing to do with the property itself) parents need to have control of their kids. it clearly says no bombing, diving etc. parents sat there and let these out of control kids disrupt the area slashing and bombing and screaming so nobody else could enjoy it. there was water everywhere and on all the seats and all the towels were soaked. parents, please control your kids because we couldn’t use an amenity we paid for to relax. it was ruined.

Fist impression. Welcoming and friendly staff. Couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay better. Including some great tips on where to go and how to get there for a couple of fist trip explorers. Room was clean , spacious and exactly as described in booking.com photos. Central to everything you could want on an overnight stay in Echuca. I’d recommend The River Boat Hotel to anyone looking an enjoyable and refreshingly pleasant hotel stay

Kevin looked after us superbly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He assisted us with recommendations for a meal. He went online to check whether the venues were "open" (it was Boxing Day), and he advised us of the "hours" the restaurants were operating. He deserves "top marks".

The location is excellent. You can easily walk to the shops and port, just a block or 2 away. Free parking at the front inside the hotel. but also lots of street parking at the front, on the street. The size of the room was good, as well as the bathroom. We liked the extra pillows. Free wifi worked very well.

The lace curtain at the front window of our room was torn, and could easily be sewn. So, only a small thing but we noticed it when we first got to the door of our room.

The check in was easy from a friendly proprietor. I liked the location on the edge of the main town area. The room was clean and of a good size. It was decorated with pleasing colours, curtains and large television. The spa was a great extra. It was large, powerful and easily accessed. The instructions for its use were easily followed. Echuca is a great upmarket town which l will visit again.

We had a great stay with nothing to complain about.
