Manager was very helpful changing our room when I couldn’t manage the stairs. I didn’t know when I booked there were options. Other staff we dealt with were also friendly. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Location is convenient. It’s handy having the pub for meals also. The meals are basic but good.

Shower grout in unit one is filthy and mouldy. Nothing that a good clean and scrub with Exit Mould wouldn’t fix. Very off putting to wash in. Above mirror ( top of tiles) is also filthy and wall tiles in bathroom. A couple of forks in the rooms would be helpful. Car parks need to be numbered. We had to park away from our room because someone parked in the middle of our space and theirs. Maybe re mark the lines also. A room a little further away from the back of the pub is quieter, we were in 1 and it was very noisy until 1am. We have stayed before in a room further away and it was less noisy and not as many people staggering past it and talking outside your door.

Two strange things that didn’t really affect our stay but just odd: - the power went out on the Sunday morning about 9am in the whole town, no one’s fault but in stead of letting the guests know straight away, we found out via the cold showers just before we needed to check out. Maybe a heads up to the guests would have been nice gesture. - there was a double, and two singles in our room. When I said to the lady that checked us in, that we didn’t need that many beds, we only booked a double, she said that’s how all the rooms looked. The extra trundle beds really took up a lot of space and no where to put your bags unless on top of the extra beds. It was a little strange and I would be concerned how often they change those sheets on the single bed when “not in use”

Very cosy and great location. Staff are lovely and friendly. Good heating, fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities.Great value for money.

The property is a little dated but clean and cosy. The owners are currently renovating the property as they go. Does not affect your stay

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, great shower, very clean. We stayed for a wedding and although we never got a chance to eat at the bistro when we told people where we were staying every person commended the place for their food and hospitality which was nice. Perfect for what we needed :)

The room was clean, everything that I needed. Bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. Great having the onsite restaurant. Great, friendly, helpful staff.

There’s a large spot between the pull blinds & window where people can see inside the room. I put a chair to hold the blind to close the gap.

Burke's Hotel is my go-to accommodation whenever I need to stay in Yarrawonga I have stayed there reasonable frequently over the last few years, and never look anywhere else The rooms are very adequate, and the restaurant is awesome The people are also very friendly A good deal all round

EVERYTHING! We stay at Burkes every year when we go to Yarra. Mel and Andrew (and all the girls) honestly treat us like family. They are amazing and will do anything to make your stay great. We love staying here and will continue to do so! The rooms are immaculate. Every morning they give you fresh towels and anything else you may need in your room. Nothings ever too hard. They lent us a baby cot without any fuss what so ever. Burkes is literally on the Main Street so we didn’t need to drive to the shops, and they have their own restaurant which I can honestly say is the best in Yarrawonga. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PARMA OR LASAGNE! You 100% will love this place and the beautiful people here

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great meal in the restaurant. Centrally located in town. Large room, clean and comfy. Off street parking available.

Be careful when booking a room through this site. I thought I had booked a motel room out the back but had booked one of the hotel's room. All hotel rooms are upstairs....a challenge for those with a physical disability. Being a Saturday night it was quite noisy.

The friendly staff ,large variety in restaurant ,close to the shops and cafe's. The manager Wilson was very hands on. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Toilet brushes need replacing, chairs uncomfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, quiet enough. The Room was upstairs above the pub. Beds were very clean and comfy. I do like the historic old pubs.

I would have given it a 5 Star if the room decor was updated , a split system perhaps as the old one was noisy and a little more thorough cleaning.
