Gulf Hotel Bahrain

The hotel was absolutely stunning. I loved everything about it. The room was extremely clean had everything in it that we needed plus more, the bed was to die for was so comfy. The bathroom was spotless and so spacious, the shower was huge and bath even bigger. We ate in the Mexican restaurant and it was delicious. We also ate in the pool bar and there was nothing to complain about at all. The pool was so clean and very well maintained. Above all else the stuff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Always happy and smiling. I loved everything about this hotel and experience. Thank you so much for everything.

Unfortunately the price of the breakfast was extremely expensive and wasn’t really worth the money. I couldn’t eat a lot of the stuff that was put out so was very disappointed with that.

My wife and I checked in around midnight on the 20th of February 2024, we had a smooth check in and the duty manager went out of his way to help us choose a room of our liking by showing us three different rooms!!! That was exceptional! We had booked a standard room, but we were upgraded to deluxe category. The dining options at the Gulf Hotel are just unbelievable...and they have live music at most of the venues and we had a wonderful time at the mexican restaurant Cantina with live music and dance. The ambience of the bar is amazing too with both indoor and outdoor sitting. In all, the Gulf has seven to eight restaurants offering different cuisines like Italian, Mexican, Iranian, etc. They also have a plush cigar lounge.. The pool at the Gulf is just outstanding and whether you're with family or by your self it is the perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon or evening. To top this all is the location.... you step out of the Gulf right onto Block 338 which is the most happening area in Manama, full of bars, restaurants and lounges where the action begins as early as 10 am and continues till the wee hours. Breakfast at the hip Cafe Lilou is a 'must do' for anyone visiting Manama!

Plenty of facilities and a very comfortable hotel

Restaurant Staff , ordered a drink , it took 48 mins for them to deliver my request . Breakfast - the chef murdered the pork bacon and sausage - couldn’t eat them . it would have been better to have a griddle and cook your own . I asked for 1 fried egg - 28 mins - I’d finished my breakfast . Bar staff in lounge bar didn’t know there products . after asking for a JW Blue and pointing out the bottle they told me they didn’t have any , although the bottle was clearly 1/2 full.

The hotel is amazing and strategically located, nearby points of interest (shopping and restaurants). Great facilities ! And the selection of restaurants INSIDE the hotel is just superb. The hotel's staff is absolutely amazing and helpful, very courteous and professional.

Our room (252) had a door to the adjacent room, I believe this is for extended families or something along those lines. We could hear ABSOLUTELY every noise/sound from that room. On the night of 02 MAY, we had to call the front desk twice because people were being loud at 03:00 am. And on the night of 03 MAY, we had to endure very unpleasant and loud noises from the couple in the next room (you can imagine what I am talking about...). Not sure if anything can be done, but it is something to improve, most definitely.

Excellent location in Manama in walking location to nearby restaurants and bars. Nice selection of restaurants inside hotel. Pool with swim up bar. Well equipped fitness centre.

Felt a little like being squeezed for every penny which left a sour taste in our mouth despite having an otherwise enjoyable 5 night stay there. For example, the fitness centre staff would not let me drink water unless we were using the fitness centre at the time so were forced to always pay expensive prices for small amounts of water; a basic human need in the height of summer.

Stay here 2-3 times/year. Good location and facilities

The hotel car park is a nightmare Thursday-Friday nights because the hotel lets anyone park there so people going out in the neighbourhood, where there is limited parking, use it meaning guests can’t always find a place. Last year the hotel introduced a parking system so guest would have free parking and non guest would pay. I can’t understand why they abandoned this. It’s anarchy now and people are even parking in the roadway in front of the parking spots making it hard to get out if you were lucky enough to find a place! They should bring back the parking system. Paying guests should not be inconvenienced

The room was clean and inviting and loved the face we were given a free upgrade to the top level floor upon arrival. The location was great and it was easily accessible from the causeway. Love the Spa facilities also that were included in our stay, such as the gym and spa. The pool was delightful but could do with a little tlc.

There were only a couple of little things that let it down and that was the outside pool could do with a bit of TLC as the tiles in the bottom of the pool were coming away from the bottom. And the steam room in the spa wasn't working so that was slightly disappointing.

Perfect Location, good facility's, friendly staff, good choice of restaurants, excellent pool.

Couple of the younger Doorman have a taxi scam going where they will call you a cab and split the over inflated fair with the taxi, happened twice in one week, and once on a previous trip watch out for the Taxi with the Vets caps on the dash he even admitted that he had to give Hotel 2BD as i said on meter and give me a receipt, then i spoke to reception and they said we do not charge for calling taxis.be careful.

Valet parking Check in and out speed Staff attentiveness

Maintenance of rooms leaves a little to be desired, bulbs flickering, noisy AC, kettle operation to name a few Housekeeping needs to add more bath robes to take into account room occupancy, two slippers one bath robe for two person occupancy Twice disturbed by unknown persons unknown on the night, another disturbance by room service asking if we'd ordered something Room service breakfast, one breakfast delivered, contacted room service who apologised for the mistake and brought another free of charge, but no cutlery, tea cup etc. Could be a little more disabled friendly, most of the restaurants and bars are only accessible by flights of stairs as is the swimming pool

All the staff at the Gulf Hotel are amazing. The customer experience is first class and should be commended. I stayed over my birthday and was presented with a beautiful birthday cake on the day of my birthday. This little gesture and the high levels of service are what is really appreciated and why I will always choose The Gulf Hotel when staying in Bahrain.

The Wifi at the pool is almost non existent. This is either due to lack of routers in the pool area or the number of guests being connected to limited routers.
