Great location, just 2 minutes walk from Markt Square. The room was very nice and, despite being on ground floor next to the bar, it was quite soundproof (the bar isn't rowdy either). The bar in the hotel is amazing (if you like beer): around 250 local beers - I was in heaven. Great food there too - more tapas style.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. However, being on the ground floor, there was no way to securely open windows overnight and there was no other means of ventilation or cooling (except for a pedestal fan, which doesn't provide fresh air, obvs.). It did get quite stuffy overnight. Some security limiters or a louvred shutter/screen on one of the windows would be a welcome addition. Otherwise, no complaints about this place at all.

Two things let this place down The restaurant which we booked 4 days in advance due to its popularity said we had the table all night from 6pm (we had an 18month old with us) so wanted to dine and head to bed around 9.30ish. We got told at 8pm they'd double booked and basically told we had to vacate the table...which meant we had to head out...ultimately getting my baby redressed to head outside at night to the square for 1.5hrs. Just really inconvenient and unaccommodating given we had a little one. Also we got quoted and charged two different prices for breakfast...€15 for continental only is overpriced in my opinion.

Well located, in a quiet area not far from the city center, the hotel was all we expected. Upon our arrival the reception staff were both welcoming efficient. The restaurant offered a good food selection.

As with just about all of Bruges, this is an old building with a tight staircase to its upper floors. As 'not so young' travelers, suitcases were an issue and a small lift for the use of guests would be appropriate a hotel of this quality and location. Having said this, the reception staff were always quick to help.

We received a very warm welcome from staff! The beautiful staff were very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was lovely and fresh - best fried eggs I've had in a while! Rose Red has a cafe/restaurant attached to the hotel - dinner was exceptional, and the staff were very knowledgeable and recommended local beers to try! This hotel has an amazing vibe; a lot of the locals come to the bar for afternoon drinks. From the restaurant to the hotel, it's good value for money. Excellent location. Comfortable beds, very clean and warm (we went in winter). Best home away from home!

The location was great just steps from main square, but still quiet. There was a good spread for breakfast with fresh baked bread and jam as well as pastries, meat and cheese. Our room was small and maybe a little tired, but clean and comfortable. I was worried being a couple of flights above the restaurant that it would be loud, but it wasn't. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for dinner twice and it was excellent. They had a variety of small plates and they were delicious and the atmosphere lively!

Perfect location to explore Bruges. Just around the corner from the main square but tucked away enough that it wasn't loud at night time, even with the restaurant downstairs. Buffet breakfast was great, with heaps of choice, and even a fried egg cooked to order. The staff were all lovely. Although the room was small (we knew that when we booked), we thought the space was used well.

The stairs are very steep and hard to carry luggage up and down, but it added to the charm of the place!

Beautiful hotel in a very central location. The staff were friendly, helpful and generally amazing. The hotel is very cute with a really nice restaurant, good food and a good beer selection. Despite sightseeing all over Brugge, it felt like we were never more than 15 minutes away from the hotel.

As someone who sleeps on hard mattresses, I thought the mattress could have been a little bit firmer. Otherwise nothing bad to say.

Well run family establishment. The rooms were clean and comfy. The bar and restaurant was a very pleasant area to enjoy a bite and some good Belgium beer. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Location was in the center of everything. Staff was always pleasant and helpful.

No lift, but it is an old converted residence and does not have one. The stairs were a good exercise. It is all part of the overall charm of the hotel. The hotel and bar is very popular. Reserve a space if you intend to spend some time in the bar.

I loved everything thing about the property. The location is fabulous the rooms are small but that is to be expected when stay in an old build with so much character. Location and cleanliness is my priority when booking a room and Hotel Red Rose exceeded my expectations. All the staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious and I can highly recommend the restaurant/pub downstairs. We were travelling by car so the nearby parking was a bonus. I wish I could of stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was totally awesome and cozy. We were offered a service which is far more than 2 stars. The hotel really is family lead, the staff is so friendly. They helped us with every enquire. At our arrival in the hotel, they explained us where to go in Bruges with some insider advice. The breakfast was super good, there was everything we needed (even some homemade cakes), more than one would expect from a two star hotel. The rooms were also totally fine (really comfy beds!). The bar below the hotel is super cool, big choice of beer, nice atmosphere. Totally recommendable! If you want a cool and authentic hotel, which is something else than the big hotel complexes, this is your place to go. We would come back any time again!
