Room is clean. We could check in without waiting to 3 pm due to the room was ready.

My room was not made up even I hung the sign (to have my room made) at the door. At first the front desk questioned me whether I put the sign reversed but I was sure it was not because I really needed my room to be cleaned and I checked twice to make sure the sign is correctly hung. I believed it happened due to the entrance door of the room was outside of the hotel next to the parking lot not inside the hotel, i.e. a separate entrance. I complained to the front and we were offered free breakfast.

The room was very nice, confortable and clean. We did not hav breakfast in the hotel

The parking is quite small and we had problems to find a spot for the car arriving during heavy rain. Staff was not so helpful at first but then they solved the situation but it was a bit stressful! Be aware that even using the lift there may be many steps up and down and narrow passages to reach the room: this was because this is an ancient building and while it has been renovated, there are not easy ways to connect all the rooms. If you have mobility problems inform the hotel when booking

Very off the tourist trail but so glad we stopped in this city and splashed out - its definitely not the cheapest hotel but worth every penny. Traditional family-owned venue but by a family of out and out hotel professionals who take extreme pride in the level of service and comfort. From the welcome desk to the quality of the room, it was a fantastic experience. We didn't try the bar or restaurant but looked to be a lot of local people enjoying the food so that speaks volumes. Very nice location, and a very nice city. Quirky room as it is a very old building but has been thoughtfully modernised and fitted with nice modern facilities.

Parking tricky (what do you expect in small narrow old city streets) and you could be blocked in.

We only had the one night in Namur, but it couldn't be faulted. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, while the room and facilities were everything that you would want. In fairness, we spent very little time at the hotel, as the bar and bistro were booked out due to a conference, so further comment is difficult to state accurately. The location was ideal for exploring the attractions of the old city and we did find the local hospitality options very good.

Our group had intended to use the bar and restaurant, however we could only be catered for via the a la carte menu which was quite expensive. We chose to eat out.

Full marks for an imaginative and tasteful conversion of several old and new buildings into a stylish hotel, Excellent central location with free! parking. One high-class “French gastronomy” restaurant - but reservation recommended when booking the hotel (Booking.com please note). We dined in the second restaurant, The Grill.

Because of the nature of the building, there are lots of stairs. Our room, on the third floor, was reached by lift and four or five short flights of stairs - up and down - after that. This isn’t a complaint, but people who might find it difficult should be aware. We were disappointed that the menu in The Grill wasn’t quite as good as the “specimen “ menu in our room.

The style of the hotel and excellent restaurant ( have not try the “ grill” resto.) Secure place for bycicles.

The comforter on the bed was really bad too heavy like an old blanket…. The skylight does not provide enough air and light. Air conditioner not a good option for us Our room was above the terrasse of the grill restaurant, so we had to keep window close with a gorgeous evening weather. Not enjoyable for the price ! The trash can in the bathroom was not empty at our arrival.

This gorgeous boutique hotel is located in a former tannery and has all of the charm that you would expect from such a property; we loved all the exposed beams and brick, as well as the spacious layout of our room; the shower was huge and indulgent, as was the jacuzzi tub in our room; the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was tasty and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including with questions around parking and recommendations for dinner; the central location is also perfect for exploring all that Namur has to offer.

I have never been to a hotel like this before! A converted tannery where they tried to keep the original building in tact, this leads to a maze of rooms and is absolutely not straight forward. So much fun! Our room was large, great bathroom with sauna, breakfast was very nice. We dined at the restaurant L’Espieglerie and it was amazing. The wait staff were very friendly.

Only a suggestion, the coffee setting could have been stronger, but that is a personal preference.

Poor fire safety. No escape plan on the back of our door and no running man signs. The quirky nature of the building, with many up and down staircases to get to our room on the top floor, was disorientating enough at the best of times. In smoke and no lights it could be disastrous.

OK, first the good points; Staff were excellent and helpful, most spoke English too. Rooms were; 118 -excellent, 114- very good but a little cramped in the bedroom. Grill restaurant was top notch, highly recommended. Rooms were clean and bathrooms very spacious.

Stairs! from reception to room 114 it was 39 steps upwards, some around a narrow spiral staircase, and no elevator because of its position. For someone like myself with arthritis in the knees it was torture. I can easily see elderly people finding it impossible. Only major drawback.
