room was HUGE with 3 spaces (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom) and a small balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is amazing (side street, near the calçadão), there was some street fair happening until late at night so there were lots of people on the street. Walking distance from lots of bars and restaurants. Hotel has a working bar too (!!) with a vintage vibe. The whole hotel really, I think it's a plus cause I love the old vibe. Overall a great stay.
It could be a bit cleaner, there was some dust on top of the headboard and some out of the way spaces, but nothing that would compromise the experience.

Unfortunately, they didn't start serving breakfast until 7:00am when I had to leave to catch a bus. Thought it was odd they do not prepare a small breakfast for people who leave early. Plus my experience in Brazil is that they start serving breakfast at 6:00am so thought it slightly odd. Staff were wonderful, pleasant and very helpful. Location is spot on if you'd like to stay in the Centre.
No breakfast before 7:00am. The bathroom looked a little bit tired.

Good breakfast, good location, spacious rooms.
We used the laundry service - at the end met with a huge bill (almost double the nightly rate, over 400 BRL for 12 items). They hadn't mentioned the price beforehand, there was no information left in the room or online about their laundry pricing. They had given us a special express service we'd never asked for. Because of this, I don't trust the hotel and its staff not to find other ways to rip off their guests. Terrible Wifi too. Room is dated with old fittings.
